Cage laser and ultrasound protection for operators

Safety is in the top priority for every Aerial Platforms manufacturer. Palazzani Industrie policy is constantly improving the already existent safety systems and paying attention to new solutions developments. Despite the regulations on the machines manufacturing and the obligation of training courses for operators, accidents still happen in aerial work sector.

By analyzing the accidents causes, a high percentage result to be the operators crushing against ceiling or obstacle in altitude.

To reduce this risk, Palazzani Industries has designed a system to protect operators. The basket can be equipped by 4 laser sensors, one in every corner, preventing the cage to approach an obstacle placed at a 3 m distance. In this way, the operators located within that area are protected from the risk of crushing. The laser sensors first generate a warning signal to the operator about the presence of an obstacle, then, at a fixed min safe distance, prevent from further movement. 

In effect this type of risk is not contemplate by the general safety obligations, even if they’re quite frequent. Palazzani is, therefore, offering customers an extra adequate protection.

Also cage can be protected from collision. Palazzani cages can now be equipped with optional ultrasonic sensors preventing the collision with nearby obstacles. This is particularly useful when operators work near windows and / or glass which can crash and also injure them. Also in this case, when the cage is near to a window, wall or obstacle, the operator is alerted by an sound alarm. In case of further proximity, the system stops the maneuvers preventing to crash.
