CECE supports the reconstruction effort in Ukraine

Last week CECE participated in several meetings dedicated to the recovery and reconstruction efforts in Ukraine.

On 16th November, CECE participated in the meeting with the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) concerning the donations and potential EU funding for procurement of power generators, among other equipment, that the Ukrainian citizens need. The European Commission outlined the essential needs and expressed willingness to cooperate with European industries that could possibly be involved in the reconstruction effort in Ukraine. The meeting was attended by different stakeholders from the construction and generating set sectors: CECE, Europgen and ERA.

On 17th November, we have also participated in the FIEC/EIC Task Force on Ukraine. The Task Force was created to look at how European stakeholders could help Ukraine as it seeks to rebuild its destroyed cities. The group is monitoring the developments and facilitates the coordination and the links between the needs on the field and the companies and organisations willing to contribute to the reconstruction of Ukraine.

After the successful event on reconstruction effort in Ukraine that CECE organised together with FIEC at bauma, CECE is glad to be part of the conversation and is looking forward to future potential collaborations.
