INTERMAT Paris to host WORLD OF CONCRETE EUROPE

The partnership between S.E. INTERMAT and HANLEY WOOD concluded on 29 October 2013 will take shape with the creation and launch of World of Concrete Europe within INTERMAT Paris, running from 20 to 25 April 2015 at Paris Nord Villepinte, France.

The event is a response to the requirements of Europe’s concrete industry, already partly represented on INTERMAT through a range of tools and equipment for concrete production, laying and handling. The event also fulfils visitor expectations for a global overview of the sector. As a totally new event, this partnership comes as a complementary addition to the partners’ brands, consolidating expertise and improving awareness.

World of Concrete Europe (WOC Europe) will feature every aspect of concrete and masonry for the commercial construction industry such as concrete mixing equipment & machinery, concrete production, plant for pre-cast concrete, material handling, original equipment manufacturers, innovative tools, construction software & technologies, concrete placement and earth moving equipment, decorative concrete products and demos, masonry tools and equipment, and everything in between.

WOC Europe will consequently become part of INTERMAT in 2015 under the federating tagline “Be Concrete,” and will be situated at the front of Hall 7 of Paris-Nord Villepinte, filling out the offering of INTERMAT Paris. Demonstrations of the latest innovations will take place on the plaza outside the hall.

Emphasis will be placed on a programme of educational presentations and training & demonstration workshops, which are a key component of all World of Concrete events. This programme will be developed in collaboration with leading figures in the concrete industry in Europe, also drawing on the internationally-renowned expertise of Hanley Wood which made World of Concrete Las Vegas the success it is today.

A specific communications campaign will also be rolled out to promote the new sector and encourage all of the players in the concrete industry to actively support this new event.

Finally, the INTERMAT Innovation Awards will include a new category, the "World of Concrete Europe" Award.
