Preview BAUER Maschinen Group CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014

The CONEXPO trade fair in Las Vegas, USA, has for many years been an extremely im-portant platform for presenting new developments in the construction machinery sector to the international and of course the American construction industry specialists.
The BAUER Maschinen Group will once again be represented at CONEXPO 2014 and exhibit a broad spectrum of its entire range of specialist foundation equipment showcasing new and innovative ideas.

Traditionally, the main focus on the Bauer-Pileco stand (Platinum Lot, Booth 7038) will be given to the BG series of rotary drilling rigs. A BG 39 represents the PremiumLine with an overall height of 28 to 33 meters, a winch with a line pull of 290 to 355 kilonewtons and a rotary drive with a torque of 390 kilonewtonmeters. It will surely make an impressive attraction. While the BG 39 is an ideal rig for Kelly drilling, it easily can be converted for other special foundation applications in particular for single pass methods (displacement piles, CFA piles) and as carrier for soil mixing systems (e.g. CSM method).

The second rotary drilling rig, a BG 11 H, is a new rig type. At CONEXPO 2014 it will be pre-sented to the public for the first time. It is a very compact rig which allows easy and fast transport, rigging and derigging. The unit weighs only 34 metric tons including rotary drive and Kelly bar. The BG 11 H is not only an optimal compact piling rig for the foundation industry. Drillers in the oil and gas industry are also considered as key customers. The rig can be used for the initial drilling of cellar holes to a diameter of 3 meteres, followed by drilling for conductor pipes as well as for rathole and mousehole drilling.

The plan to manufacture and service the BG 11 H in the United States demonstrates the commitment of Bauer Maschinen to the North American market. Both BG rigs are equipped with the latest engine technology to fulfill the extended requirements of TIER 4 regulations.

Under the slogan „All from one source“, many interesting and innovative products are also developed by the affiliated companies of the BAUER Maschinen Group. These include the multi-purpose leader rigs of RTG Rammtechnik GmbH who will exhibit its telescopic leader rig, the RG 19 T with its updated base carrier BS 65 RS. Big effort has been put in environmental efficiency. The plant can be operated in a special Eco-mode for attachment units with lower power demand. It includes reduction of output by reducing nominal engine speed which results in considerably lower noise emission and in remarkable fuel saving due to lower specific consumption. This combination is the first choice for the installation of heavy-duty sheet piles or steel sections with length of up to 19 meters.

KLEMM Bohrtechnik GmbH will demonstrate its competence by exhibiting two of their multi-purpose anchor drills, the KR 806-3F and the small and compact KR 707-2 with external power pack.

BAUER-Pileco Inc., the American subsidiary of Bauer Maschinen, is the specialist in pile driv-ing technology. It will exhibit a Diesel impact hammer D 62-22 which comes with an impres-sive piston weight of 6,2 tons and a total overall weight of approx. 13 tons.

MAT Mischanlagentechnik GmbH is a mid-size company dedicated to designing and manufacturing equipment for slurry mixing, materials handling and mechanical separation technology. As typical example of its product line it will show the compact slurry mixing plant SCC 40.
