Introducing the ALIMAK TPL 800

Alimak is extending its transport platform light range with the new single mast TPL 800. The flexible, robust and simple design makes the platform ideal for all vertical access solutions, including buildings and scaffoldings for new construction or refurbishment project. The TPL 800 is designed to offer the most cost-efficient vertical transport solution on site. Each unit has dual functionality and can be used as a transport platform or material hoist.

The new transport platform with a 5-person capacity, is 3.2 m long x 1.0 m wide with a tied lifting height of max. 100m ensuring easy loading of bulky materials. One advantage is the possibility to open up the 3.2 m platform side with bi-folding doors for loading and unloading purposes (C-door).

The transport platform version of the TPL 800 is intended for both passenger and material transport and has a lifting speed of 12m/min in passenger mode with hold-to-run controls and 24m/min for the transportation of materials only with ground station operation controls.

With a simple key switch positioned on the electrical control panel, the machine can be converted from a transport platform or a material hoist with all of the appropriate safety features enabled.

Fast installation and dismantling

The mast sections are fixed to each other by means of four eyebolts, permanently attached to the mast section itself, making assembly faster and eliminating the risk of loss or misuse of these mast bolts. The installation platform allows safe access to the mast and the façade, ensuring the installation and fastening of the mast and ties can be completed in the safest method possible.

The enhanced mast design allows tie distances of up to 7.5m to be achieved, giving the ability to easily span 3 floors of a building or scaffold. The tie pipes are fixed on the mast sections via a double frame arrangement that also affords greater rigidity to the masts, whilst still being quick and simple to install.

The drive unit is designed to provide efficient operation with minimal wear and long service life. The TPL 800 is equipped with our proven safety device that comes into operation if the normal speed is exceeded. It breaks the power to the platform, which slows down softly and stops. The platform also has a built-in overload protection system. All commands for using the platform and controlling the safety systems are included in the control panel.

Easy to position in narrow spaces

The hot dip, galvanized base frame with load bearing levelling screw jacks, has smaller dimensions than the platform size, making it easy to position the machine even in very narrow spaces. The first mast section is bolted on as is the cable basket.

Easy loading and unloading

The TPL 800's design is genuinely modular and can be obtained with a number of different gates or ramps. The modular system can be adapted to different tasks with relatively few modules and components. The machine's rectangular dimensions provide advantages when transporting larger goods such as gypsum carriage or scaffolding material. The load ramp facilitates loading of the platform with forklift or pallet truck. The platform's long side is provided with a fixed railing on delivery. As an option, the platform's long side can be equipped with a bi-folding gate with an opening dimension of 3 metres, which gives great advantages when loading bulky materials.

Wide range of accessories

A series of accessories are available including, roof, lifting beam, ladder for mast erection and are all available on request. The landing gates with electric and mechanical interlock are in compliance with the latest provisions of the Machine Directive. These can also be equipped with a call push button panel and are easy to assemble on both the scaffolding and the building′s landings.

The new transport platform will be launched at Alimak´s stand #FS 1102/10 and is released for ordering during Bauma 2019.
