René Worms promoted to director at Topcon Europe Positioning

Capelle a/d IJssel, THE NETHERLANDS – 13^th August 2013 - René Worms has been promoted to the position of director at Topcon Europe Positioning B.V. (TEP). His promotion is effective immediately.

Since joining TEP as general manager in May 2012, “René has demonstrated a keen understanding of our industry and how to manage it given the tumultuous European business climate,” said Ray O’Connor, president of Topcon’s global Positioning Company and senior managing executive officer for Topcon Corporation.

 “René will now join the senior management team (board of directors) where his unique insights and skills will play a critical role in establishing and directing the aggressive growth plan that we know Europe can support,” O’Connor said.

As TEP general manager, Worms has overseen the strengthening of its organisation, particularly its integration into Topcon’s global Positioning Company. He has also been instrumental in enhancing distribution channels throughout Europe. As director, Worms will be able to completely focus on growth and joins the senior management team to help guide the organization into new markets and partnership opportunities.
