Scania shows its full range at Bauma

Scania turns 125 this year and the company will be showing both the width and depth of it range at Bauma 2016. Three divisions will be present, with products and services that share the common objective of providing the best possible total economy, regardless of application. Scania’s combination of robust products and connected services provides intelligent solutions that make all the difference.

  • Five trucks will be showcased, all weight-optimised thanks to Scania’s modular construction. Robust, reliable trucks, featuring connectivity and attractive services, help transport companies that choose Scania to increase their profitability.

  • Three industrial engine platforms – 9-litre, 13-litre and 16-litre – for Tier 4 final and Stage IV.

  • Scania introduces a new era in meeting the mining industry’s transport needs, with smart and holistic solutions that lead to increased efficiency, by focusing on optimisation at every stage.

“Bauma is an outstanding showcase for Scania’s collected offering within rough and tough,” says Isabella Habijan, Scania’s Bauma project leader. “We have three divisions on-site, and each is a leader in its field with special significance for the Bauma target groups.”

Scania will present both conventional building and construction trucks as well as its special truck for mining operations (that is so large it must be shown outdoors).

Scania Engines is displaying its renowned bright orange industrial engines. The 9-litre and the 13-litre engines are now being developed for Stage V.

“We’re seeing a strong upward trend for Scania generally within construction, and especially in the large European markets,” says Habijan. “Customers in the big European markets have discovered that our trucks and solutions offer the best total economy for their operations.”
