  • ANMOPYC conducted workshops across Spain to discuss the transition from Directive 2006/42/EC to Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 on machinery.

  • The workshops took place in Zaragoza, Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona, and Murcia, targeting ANMOPYC members and machinery manufacturers/marketers.

  • The new Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 was published on June 29th in the Official Journal of the European Union, outlining significant changes from the previous directive.

  • A total of 56 companies and 120 professionals participated in the workshops, highlighting the industry's commitment to adapting to the new machinery regulation by January 20, 2027.

The objective has been to inform about the main changes in the Regulation compared to the Directive.

ANMOPYC takes stock of the workshop cycle that has been conducted throughout the Spanish geography. On June 29th, the revised version of the current Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery was published in the Official Journal of the European Union as Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

The workshops were held in Zaragoza (ITAINNOVA Headquarters, Aragon Technological Institute), Bilbao (TECNALIA Research and Innovation Headquarters), Madrid (UNE Headquarters, Spanish Association for Standardization), Barcelona (BONFIGLIOLI affiliated company headquarters), and Murcia (CROEM Headquarters, Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Murcia).

The workshops were aimed at ANMOPYC members and were open to the attendance of any company manufacturing and/or marketing machinery. ANMOPYC wishes to express gratitude to the 56 companies and 120 professionals who participated in the five organized workshops for their interest in understanding how they will need to adapt their machines to comply with the new regulation starting from January 20, 2027.
