AENOR has awarded this certification to Implaser, highlighting its economic solvency and dedication to people and society. The presentation took place during the opening day of SICUR, the International Security Exhibition.

Aragonese company Implaser has become the first to receive the AENOR N Sustainable Mark certification, Ns, for photoluminescent safety signage and beacons. Yolanda Villaseñor, Product Certification Director at AENOR, presented the distinction, endorsing the sustainability of Implaser's Fire Protection products, to Clemente Huerta, the company's CEO, at the opening day of SICUR, the International Security Exhibition at IFEMA Madrid, running until March 1.

The AENOR N Sustainable Mark, Ns, is Spain's first and only sustainability certification, aiming to drive industrial sectors towards greater commitment to sustainability in environmental, social, and governance aspects. Villaseñor explained that to obtain it, "AENOR analyzes a sustainability indicator system based on the demanding quality certification of AENOR N branded products, which has a significant history in the market, combining sustainability criteria and adopting the new demands of society."

According to Clemente Huerta, "This certification reflects how we work at Implaser. Our products are developed following legal regulations, ensuring their safety and efficiency. Our photoluminescent signage is a prime example. We focus on continuous improvement and innovation, resulting in high-quality products that meet and exceed safety standards, with advancements such as sustainability."

Implaser's AENOR N Sustainable Mark certified signs have been audited to ensure compliance with ISO 9000 standards and the N Product Mark, guaranteeing product quality standards and legal assurance. The certification also acknowledges Implaser's solvency in the present and future projections, with R&D+i projects and guarantees. "Our signs are manufactured with environmental care and consideration for the surroundings, incorporating specific improvement objectives and actions, and emphasizing corporate social responsibility as a strategic axis, taking into account the needs of workers, customers, and society. We are a healthy company with gender equality and family conciliation policies," added Huerta.

Thus, Implaser is implementing practices to reduce its carbon footprint, including the elimination of volatile organic compounds in production and the installation of its own purifiers to ensure wastewater quality. The Aragonese company's commitment to the environment is also evident in the use of 100% renewable energy in its operations, reducing its ecological footprint.

Certification aligned with European requirements

Companies voluntarily seek the AENOR N certification to subject their products to a comprehensive examination certifying the performance characteristics of construction materials. Now, the AENOR N Sustainable Mark Ns adds European sustainability criteria to these requirements.

A product is considered sustainable when it provides assurances of lasting over time, involving a commitment to continuous environmental improvement during its manufacturing. This sustainability certification is crucial for manufacturers adapting to European sustainability guidelines and aligns with requirements for accessing Next Generation European funds.

Implaser's Innovations at SICUR

The certification presentation occurred at Implaser's booth (8E04, Hall 8) at SICUR, the International Security Exhibition, which opened today at IFEMA and will continue until March 1. Innovation and technological development take center stage at this professional event covering comprehensive security, including areas of security, cybersecurity, fire protection and emergencies, and occupational safety.

Among Implaser's innovations at the exhibition is its new CEO series signage, which evolves and enhances its traditional IMPLASER A series with an attractive new design. These signs provide perfect color visibility, even in the dark, and increase the total luminous surface of the signal in this new series.

SICUR is also the platform for Implaser to address the new revision of UNE 23.034, a standard related to fire protection, safety signage, and evacuation routes. The Aragonese company already has stock of signs adapted to UNE 23.034:2023, featuring changes such as the unification of the evacuation exit pictogram, new dimensions, or new signage for accessible evacuation.

Another innovation from Implaser present at the International Security Exhibition is the evolution of the traditional QR code on signs. It not only provides the necessary documents for legal justification but also enhances information by offering specific values of the signs (model, type, manufacturing date, luminescence batch, and values). This achieves complete transparency for the product accessible to any user. Additionally, within the framework of SICUR, Implaser has launched a mobile and tablet application that, through these QR codes, assists installers and maintainers in managing maintenance according to UNE 23580 part 15. After maintenance, the application generates the report and informs about system deficiencies, saving bureaucratic work in maintaining signs.
