Automatic GPS Right / Left Modulation

Up to now, automatic modulation performed from a map managed a single rate over the entire width. SULKY ISOBUS fertilizer spreaders X40 and X50 are now offering an automatic and independent right / left side rate modulation. The under- and over-rates are reduced in the transition areas, these areas where the recommended rate is changing. Input costs are optimized and yields are more regular.

ISOBUS technology
The fertilizer spreader Right / Left modulation can operate with two ISOBUS Universal Terminals (UT): either with the new Universal Terminal from SULKY either with a Green Star John Deere 2630 display. By the ISOBUS protocol, the information module of the fertilizer spreader (ECU) sends the 12 sections that make the fertilizer spread pattern to the Task Controller of the ISOBUS console as an ISOXML file. This file contains an assignment for the left dosing unit on sections 1 to 6, and for the right dosing unit for sections 7 to 12. The ECU is expected to send that file type. Tasks Controller of the Universal Terminal is also developed to receive, read and send target rates for both dosing units in two virtual positions of the GPS antenna.
Automatic left / right modulation is user friendly for the farmer since it works from standard modulation maps. This is one more step towards Precision Farming.
