About Bauma China 2018
With 1674 m2 floor area which is 3 times larger than previous, with two digital corners which showcases digital services, simulator, 3D animations and video assistance, BOMAG will present a host of star products and technologies in compaction, milling and paving to the public during the period of BAUMA CHINA 2018 (Booth E2.110/510).
In milling and paving segment, BOMAG will show 3 types of machine covering from maximum paving width from 4 up to 11m which are used in city roads maintenance and in highway new construction or overhauls. (BF300P/BF800C/BF900C).The milling machines (BM500-15/BM1300-35T3/BM2000-60) shown during the exhibition will cover from 0.5m up to 2m. All those BOMAG milling and paving products are so important to China’s market. Especially BM1300-35/T3, which makes her debut on BAUMA CHINA’s stage, will attract visitors’ eyes beyond doubt.

ASPHALT MANAGER 2 – More application flexibility
With the success of the ASPHALT MANAGER system on heavy tandem rollers, BOMAG has further developed the system to its 2nd generation. The ASPHALT MANAGER 2 offers more user flexibility in terms of applications on roads, bridges and other job sites which are sensitive to vibration.
On the new ASPHALT MANAGER 2, the system provides more setting flexibilities, such as the introduction of Prof. mode in addition to fully automatic mode and manual mode as on previous generation. With the prof. mode, it allows contractors to set Evib values according to the materials the machine compacts and also asphalt surface temperature.
For less experienced users of the BOMAG ASPHALT MANAGER system, in the fully automatic mode, the system provides more compaction energy selection from easy to tough asphalt mix.
Special applications like bridge compaction and similar vibration sensitive job sites, the operators can choose bridge compaction mode.
The system is simple to use. All the icons on the display screen are self-explanatory and easy to understand. The operator can start operating the system after orientation training.
BOMAG BM 2000/60-2 Milling Machine – Redefine Performance in 600 hp Class
The 2 meters milling width BM 2000/60-2 is powered by an 8-cylinder DEUTZ water-cooled engine with output of 440 kW. Plus 30,3 t operating weight, the machine can mill as deep as 32 cm. Together with pressurized milling chamber side plates, it provides a precise milled surface and accurate milling depth control. The control of milling depth and the cross slope is achieved by the “Intelplanner” system as standard. The operation of the machine is easy with easy-to-understand symbols.
Operating comfort is well considered as always. The BOMAG Advanced Comfort System (A.C.S) features a completely vibration-isolated operator’s platform. The whole platform is independently mounted on a vibration cushion, which eliminates hazardous vibrations during operation.
On BM 2000, a large capacity 1,200 l water tank is provided as standard, which allows long continuous work without need to stop for refilling.
BOMAG Asphalt Paver BF 800C – 10 m Paver with Long Term Customer Value Built in
The BF 800C is designed for working on highways where max.10 m paving width and a more powerful tractor unit is required.
The BF 800C is powered by a 135 kW DEUTZ water-cooled engine. The 3.360 mm long tractor wheel-base is the longest in the class, which provides extra area for the tractor pads to deliver ample traction force and stability during loading of material in the hopper. Besides, the long tractor wheelbase can better level out ground unevenness to ensure the smoothness of the mat surface.
On BF 800 C, customers have choice of 2 types of screed with hydraulic extensions. The basic widths are 2.5 m and 3 m. The BOMAG hydraulic extended screed has heaviest weight in the class, together with vibration and tamper; it helps to achieve high pre-compaction. The base plate of the screed is 400 mm wide, which will guarantee that a smooth surface finish can be obtained.
To ensure quick and homogeneous heating of the screed, the screed is electrically heated by a single section long service life heating element.
For optimum operator’s view to observe the front and rear of the machine during operation, the whole platform can be moved sideways by 40 cm to either the left or right side of the machine, the BOMAG Side View System. In addition, the operator seat has 15 positions for adjustment to obtain the best operating view.
Each function is controlled by toggle switches, no computer panels or light touch film switches. The toggle switches can be replaced at very low cost and are easy to obtain in case of unexpected break-down.
The control of the machine is easy to understand by following the instructive icons on the control panel, no complicated screen and menus. The operators can familiarize themselves easily with the operation.
