Both upper and lower positions now easy to program – saving time and money when loading

As a specialist front-loader, STOLL sets new standards for professional loaders with the “Boom Kick Out” function

Streamlining work for agricultural workers and contractors: This is what the new “Boom Kick Out” function promises, as introduced by the multinational front loader specialist headquartered in Lengede near Hannover at the Agritechnica show from 8-14 November. STOLL is now rolling out this new function in its “ProfiLine” range of loaders, featuring semi-automatic advantages that effectively handled everyday tasks: The driver simply programs the position of the front loader – and the rest is all handled automatically, consistently at any level. Work is expedited, since this process eliminates the need for readjustment, saving wear and tear and consuming less diesel. The STOLL engineers have refined a technique that originated in the construction machinery sector: The difference here is successfully incorporating this new function into STOLL front loaders, making it an even more cost-effective option.

To date, even routine loading tasks were tedious and complex

Whether pallet loading, loading a fodder mixing vehicle or an automatically programmable stable lift height capacity for safety: Up to now, the farmer, contractor or driver have had no alternative but to manually control the position (upper or lower) of the front loader, something that would quickly tire out any driver during a uniform loading job.

A foolproof solution emerges

“What we strive to do is make the lives of our customers easier by leveraging intelligent technology. As the leading front loader manufacturer, we measure ourselves against the benchmarks of efficiency and accuracy, which has led us to develop “Boom Kick Out”. This semi-automatic device significantly reduces the time required, saves you diesel – and therefore money – and reduces material wear and tear. It is also convenient for the driver and could not be simpler to operate”, stresses Armin Walter, Head of Sales and Marketing at STOLL, in emphasising the new function: It is an advance comparable to the “invention” of the Return-to-Level 2001 auto level control by STOLL.

The solution is clear: Level programming made easier via joystick

It’s as simple as it sounds: The tractor driver drives the front loader into the correct position, for example, in front of a fodder mixing vehicle. He/she then uses his/her Pro Control joystick to select the configured program and presses the “teach in” button. The loader is now automatically kept in the selected position each time– for example, 30 cm lower, to remove the silage. Or to a loading height of 2.30 m. All of which proceeds with no further driver input required: Considerably easing the burden and refining technology at the same time.

Smoother stopping – just like a lift

Once you have reached your destination, there are no more sudden stops – or the shakes that come with it. Instead, the loader gradually slows – just like a lift. Drivers’ backs will be grateful for this change, as will the machine itself. The “Boom Kick Out” function can be combined with the auto level control RTL: the front loader moves automatically into the correct position and the tool is correctly aligned.

The cost-effective system is comprised of a Pro Control Joystick, controller, electro-hydraulic proportional valve and a rotation sensor and is available from dealers from November 2015.
