The Langendorf group consists of the Langendorf GmbH which generated the largest share of turnover with 41 million Euros, as well as of the Langendorf Trading GmbH (rental and trade of used trailers) and the Langendorf Service GmbH (repair, individual modifications and spare part trade).

More than 900 trailers, an increase of 13 percent, left the vehicle plant in Waltrop from 1st October 2014 up to 30th September 2015.

Despite major international projects the export share has slightly fallen from 49 percent to 45 percent. This is due to, amongst others, the declining demand from Eastern Europe. “In spite of the weakening Eastern European market the total quantity could be considerably increased thanks to the growth in Central Europe”
Dr. Klaus P. Strautmann, managing director of the Langendorf GmbH, said.

The increase in production was realized with an almost unchanged number of employees. Langendorf employed a total of 263 employees as average in the past financial year. “The positive increase of production is based on two aspects” Dr. Strautmann explains, “On the one hand we were able to focus the core workforce flexibly on the production planning thanks to a corresponding work model with external personnel and to strengthen us with utmost precision. On the other hand the production modernization bears fruits. The year of the reconstruction and reorganization could be successfully completed. However, it was an “open-heart surgery”.”

The business year was closed on 30th September with a highlight: The binding incoming order for a steel tipping semitrailer was the 1001st order for the company in this year. The handover to the owner, a company of Havelland – part of Berlin-region, will take place in March 2016.
