Vreden, São Paulo, 01 September 2011 – The FIFA cup and the Olympics have once again thrust Brazil into the international limelight, but not only these major events have spurred investment in state-of-the-art welding here in Brazil. German equipment  manufacturer KEMPER – the world leader for air extraction and filtration equipment – has introduced a new portable breathing protection system, autoflow XP, to meet EHS regulations. The system features a powerful fan together with a compact lowweight design. KEMPER, based in Vreden, Westphalia in Germany, will also be presenting its entire range of mobile and portable filter units at the international Brazil Welding Show in 2011.

The company's latest breathing air-filtering products for filtering air are presented at booth 282 at São Paulo's Expo Center Norte on October 18–21, 2011.

"Brazil is one of the world's largest growing markets. Naturally, we will be taking part at the first Brazil Welding Show to show local customers our product range," says Björn Kemper, CEO of KEMPER GmbH; the company has set its sights on expanding its international business – KEMPER was already at the Moscow trade fair this year, and will also be exhibiting at MSV 2011 in Brno, Czech Republic, and FabTech 2011 in Chicago, Illinois.

KEMPER will be at the international specialist trade fair in São Paulo to exhibit mainly mobile filtering units that have proven their worth in industry in many years of continuous development. One example is Filter-Master, a versatile base unit for use at changing welding stations, a unit featuring a simple yet highly robust steel-sheet design as well as high-resistance powder coating. In addition, the company will be presenting its Filter-Master XL, a filter unit with state-of-the-art KemTex® ePTFE membrane filter cartridges especially suited to welding
high-alloy metals.

The portable autoflow XP breathing air protection system is another major KEMPER product to be exhibited at the trade fair, a batterypowered unit that generates constant excess pressure in protective headgear to keep dangerous smoke and emissions out. The autoflow XP system also cleans suction air at 99.8% separation rates using a particle filter. This breathing protection system runs at four fan speed settings driven by a brush-free DC motor with three times the service life of conventional fan drives.

Versatile due to its highly compact size, KEMPER Dusty was designed for extracting pollutants where they arise. The system is very lightweight, versatile and ideal for applications that involve smoke and dust-type emissions. The suction hose can be connected to a variety of collectors and nozzles or to welding guns with integrated suction. The CEO especially sees a lot of potential for his company in applications with these versatile units – "Our KEMPER Dusty is an ideal extraction unit for stand-alone workstations," says Björn Kemper. Dusty filters ultra-fine dust using a cartridge that is also simple to clean off. KEMPER is also considering extending its Brazilian activities to secure its position on the local market – "We'd like to present our product benefits to the Brazilian market more effectively, so we're thinking about extending our own sales and production capacities," comments Kemper on the current state of development.
