Rototilt optimizes excavators

Every day, hundreds of thousands of excavators are at work around the world and most operators switch between different tools several times each day. Most risks for serious accidents occur when excavator operators change tools. If the something goes wrong, tools can be dropped.

"No one at a job site should feel uneasy about safety, and with the smart technology that exists today, we have eliminated the risk of dropped tools," says product manager Sven-Roger Ekström.

Two-thirds of the new tiltrotators from Rototilt sold in Sweden have the SecureLock™ function.

“It allows the operator to be sure that the tools are always correctly coupled, providing a very high level of safety for everyone at the job site," says Sven-Roger Ekström.

SecureLock™ sounds a clear beep to confirm that the tool is in place, and monitoring is continuous to ensure that the tool is always secured. SecureLock™ also gives a warning if any tool is worn and needs to be inspected. An LED lamp turns on automatically when changing tools to improve visibility when the tool is attached.
