In its latest version, the workshop planning will include the automatic calculation of the distance between the job site and the company's branch nearest to that place.

Once the distance calculated, the job site zone is identified, and then this information is sent to the technician on its mobile phone or tablet.

Other feature, the technician is now able to make the Work Order on break, if it is not finished and he need to begin another job. He will be able to come back to the former job as soon as possible. Then the workshop manager will be able to invoice partially the customer and to send him a partial job report.

Finally, IRIUM improved the workshop planning ergonomics by providing new shortcuts, but also allowing the customer to modify the colors of the planning tool according to its internal processes.

2. The new iMOB Service version: mobile app for technicians in the fields

In its fifth version, the mobile app for technicians, iMOB Service, is enriched with a large number of new functionalities to improve dealers’ after sales productivity.

It aims at giving to the technicians more information and autonomy to be more efficient in their jobs.

Now technicians will be able to view the last 10 work orders on the machine they have to repair, thus they can better understand the cause of the failure.

It will be now possible for the technician to do and invoice jobs that were not initially planned in the work order. Thus the dealer can give more autonomy to the mechanic to do jobs even if they are not planned and finally the customers are more satisfied.

Two reports will be automatically generated and stored by i80 in the work order folder. One is for internal use with detailed information and technical comments, and the other one is for the customer with different information, to better describe the job done. With those two reports, the dealer can improve the communication with its customers without reducing the exactness of the technical explanation.

Those improvements enable the more than 300 technicians using iMOB Service to be more efficient and to increase the quality of their jobs.
