A few days before the 3 protagonists in the September trade fair calendar open their doors to the public, Iva Thiel, LECTURA Press follows up on the conversation held in February and now asks the organizers what visitors, exhibitors and press representatives can look forward to.

IT: What balance can you make shortly before the start of the trade show?

The balance so shortly before the start of the trade fair is very positive. Steinexpo 2023 will start with 305 exhibitors and 440 represented brands on Wednesday, August 23. Despite unfavourable weather conditions, preparations on site are running at full speed and will provide a unique trade fair experience for all visitors.

Already 30,000 trade visitors have reserved their tickets in the run-up to the demonstration fair, confirming our expectations for steinexpo. The mood "in the break" is very positive - everyone involved is very much looking forward to this special experience after a six-year break!

Visitors can expect a fully booked outdoor area with a wide range of construction machinery and equipment for construction and civil engineering as well as commercial vehicles. We are very pleased that some well-known exhibitors who took a break from NordBau in recent years, such as Zeppelin, Schwing-Stetter, F.X. Meiller, Bomag and others, will be back this year. Meiller, Bomag and others as well.

The share of vehicles with battery and electric drive is steadily increasing, as well as the digitalization of construction sites. Both will be presented at the trade fair. The halls have a high capacity and offer, among other things, comprehensive information for architects, developers and builders.

For example, a research pavilion of the TH Lübeck shows the possibilities in 3D concrete printing, and the Materialprüfanstalt SH together with the Forum Kreislaufwirtschaft focuses on the aspect of "ReUse".

In the exhibition hall for heating and energy technology, equipment and products for alternative energy generating and saving will increasingly be presented by manufacturers and service providers. The central advisory stand of the consumer advice center and Haus & Grund will again be located in the middle of Hall 7 due to the great demand last year. Visitors can obtain non-binding advice there without having to make an appointment. Here everyone who wants to convert a heating system, purchase a new one or obtain information will find what they are looking for. Likewise some exhibitors offer the technology for alternative energies.

We are pleased that new companies will meet established industry players for the first time on the Start-Up Stage in Hall 4. Networking, presenting ideas and concepts, recognizing pitfalls, breaking deadlocks - both sides can benefit.

The 68th NordBau will be opened by Claus Ruhe Madsen, Schleswig-Holstein's Minister for Economics, Transport, Labor, Technology and Tourism. The special theme of NordBau "Water... & Construction" is already in focus here. Gesine Strohmeyer, Managing Director of Hamburg Wasser, will shed light on the resilience of the water industry. Lykke Leonardsen, an expert from Copenhagen, will report on how Copenhagen became a sponge city and thus a pioneer for many other cities in Europe. In Hall 6, visitors will then be able to find out all about sustainable water management during the five days of the trade show - especially the challenges and opportunities for the construction industry.

Olivia Hogenmüller – Platformers‘ Days

"The Platformers' Days will be awaiting visitors from September 8 - 9, 2023 with concentrated innovative power for the mobile lifting and access technology industries. We are pleased that numerous exhibitors have intentionally chosen the Platformers' Days to provide world and German premieres and exciting product innovations for the Who-is-Who of the rental industry of access platforms, forklifts and cranes.

Exactly three weeks before the start of the Platformers' Days trade fair, we are looking forward to full occupancy of the outdoor exhibition area and an almost fully booked hall, which we have added as an exhibition area for the Platformers' Days for the first time. On a quarter more exhibition space than at the debut of the Platformers' Days in 2021, all the relevant industry giants will not only be presenting their machine highlights, but also incorporating them into innovative show concepts.

Around 110 exhibitors are also taking advantage of the increase in floor space to focus on a broader range of products and services beyond just steel: Digital solutions around rental fleet management and depersonalized rental take up more space. Telematics solutions for remote diagnostics, real-time tracking and operator prevention will outline answers to current industry challenges.

But Platformers' Days is not just about innovation - interaction with industry peers is at the heart of this year's show. For this, we offer the perfect framework for networking with our evening event themed "Cheers & Beers"."
