SAME Argon stands out for its great manoeuvrability, for being very robust and for being extremely simple and ready for use. It is also an ideal addition to the machine pool of medium to large-scale farms, as well as a perfect multi-purpose tractor for smaller farms. Maximum versatility and great adaptability, from tilling the soil, to hay-making and cleaning the stalls: these are the main characteristics of the Argon range.

Available in 6 versions with 2 or 4-wheel drive, the new SAME Argon range is equipped with engines with a maximum power output of 65 to 97 HP (48 to 71 kW), and immediately stands out for its completely revised futuristic look, featuring a new single-piece steel hood.. There is now a 75 litre fuel tank, an 8 inch PowerCore air filter (also available with a dust ejector), a larger radiator pack and above all, the new heart of the SAME Argon tractors, the ultra-modern 3-cylinder FARMotion common rail engine (up to 2,000 bar), with turbocharger, intercooler and viscostatic fan. Compliance with the Stage III B level, in terms of reducing emissions, is achieved by simply adopting the DOC catalytic converter. The power and torque delivery curves are specifically designed for the farming sector, with impressive values. The maximum engine speed is 2,200 rpm - the Argon 80 has a torque reserve of 43%, whereas the Argon 100 the maximum torque reaches the remarkable value of 369 Nm, at 1,600 rpm.

All the new SAME Argon tractors can be widely configurable according to different needs, starting from the transmission, which is offered in two versions. The first has a maximum speed of 30 Km/h (attainable at economy engine speed), with a 4-speed transmission (12+3 with creeper or 8+8 with mechanical reverse shuttle). The second version is based on a 5 speed transmission with 3 ranges (15+15), and can reach 40 km/h at just 1800 rpm with the creeper gears, it is possible to drive at 298 metres per hour. Electrohydraulic engagement of front wheel drive and of front and rear differential lock is standard on the 40 km/h versions. Another improvement introduced in the SAME Argon transmissions is the inclusion of special water-tight gaskets, which ensure safe and long-lasting use in specialist applications , such as in rice fields.

Rear PTO is available with 4 different configurations - 540 rpm and 540 ECO with the option of 1000 rpm mode or a configuration that synchronises with the gearbox.

There are important innovations for the braking system: upon request, and in compliance with the most recent safety directives, it is now possible to install the hydraulic trailer braking line.. In the 2WD versions multiple wet disc brakes are incorporated in the front axle, whereas they are present on all wheels on the 4-wheel drive models.

The open-centre hydraulic system is available with two different pump capacities (42 or 50 L/min) and offers from 2 to 6-way rear distribution, with mechanical controls. All versions include an independent gear pump for the steering circuit. The powerful rear lift with cat. II 3-point linkage offers 2500kg maximum capacity to the lower link ends, which can be implemented up to 3500 kg as an option.

The driver area has been redesigned and offers greater comfort due to the lowered transmission tunnel: the controls are new and even more comfortable and simple to use, also thanks to SAME's well-known "colour-based logic". The instrument cluster and digital-analogical display have also been redesigned, to immediately provide the operator with comprehensive information about the operation of the tractor.

For the safety of the operator, there is a rear 2-pillar roll-bar that is partially retractable: upon request it comes equipped with a sunshade roof.

The optional ballasting for the rear wheels offer a total addition of 180 or 360 kg, whereas suitcase weights for the front can reach 260 kg (including the 20 kg of the ballast holder support).
