For the last year DEUTZ-FAHR has been offering the best technology mix in the medium horsepower class with the 6 Series. In time for Agritechnica, the popular series will now be extended by six new compact models. The new all-round tractor models 6120 (126 HP/92.8 kW), 6130 (135 HP/99.2 kW) and 6140 (143 HP/105 kW) are available either with TTV transmissions or manual 5-gear Powershift transmission. Farmers and contractors can select from a total of24 models from 126 HP to 226 HP with three engine sizes, three transmission variants, two cab types and countless equipment variants to choose the tractor that perfectly fits their working profile and desired level of specification.

The six new models are equipped with the latest generation of Stage IV Deutz 3.6 engines. They feature the most recent Exhaust After Treatment technology (DOC+SCR for 6120, DOC+DPF+SCR for 6130 and 6140).

The powerful and high-torque 4-cylinder engines have been optimised for low fuel and AdBlue consumption. They offer torque increases of up to 30 % and can be equipped with a new electronic Visco fan (standard for the 6140 model) and a new cooling system, with easy access for cleaning and maintenance. The models also feature the new Hydraulic Engine Brake (HEB) that has been awarded the silver medal by DLG. It is activated via a foot switch and provides additional braking power during transport tasks.

Regarding CVT transmission technology, DEUTZ-FAHR relies on the proven and highly efficient TTV transmission. All speeds from 0.2 km/h to 50 km/h can be easily set, with a 40 km/hECO mode at reduced engine speed. There are three driving modes , AUTO/MANUAL/PTO, and two working states, FIELD/TRANSPORT, that can be pre-selected. The change of direction is via PowerShuttle without torque disruption. The shuttle response is preselectable in five different steps.

Alternatively, the new models of the 6 Series are available with a manual 5-gear transmission with three powershift stages. Two versions are available: 30+30-gear version or a 60+60-gear version with creeper gear and super creeper speeds. For these transmissions, the electrohydraulic PowerShuttle with five preselectable responses (SenseClutch) also allows change of direction without torque disruption, and the Stop&Go function allows precise manoeuvring in tight spaces and repetitive ‘stop/start’ type work. The ComfortClutch system allows gear changes without operating the clutch pedal.

Other new features include the front axles that are designed specifically for these models and were developed in-house at SDF. Four-wheel drive and differential locks (100 %) can be electrohydraulically activated or deactivated and are automatically controlled by the ASM system.. All new models of the 6 Series can be optionally equipped with front axle suspension. This significantly increases the driving and working comfort, the traction as well as the safety in the field and on the road. The SDD quick steering system is also available for all new models, halving the steering wheel turns tomake manoeuvring a lot more efficient.

As always with DEUTZ-FAHR, exemplary safety features come as a standard. The new 6 Series models are equipped with 4-wheel braking, with a Hydraulic Parking Brake (HPB). A trailer braking system (hydraulic, pneumatic or both), in compliance with the most recent safety directives..

Thee hydraulic packages are available , a standard open center hydraulic system with a performance of 90 l/min and mechanical spool valves; Load Sensing hydraulic system with 120 l/min and mechanical valves, and 120 l/min Load Sensing pump with electrohydraulic controlled spool valves., Optional front linkage can be equipped with two hydraulic outlets (Comfort pack) and a front PTO with 1,000 rpm. All models are equipped with precise EHR-controlled rear linkages with up to 7,000 kg lifting capacity. The PTO speeds 540, 540 E and 1,000 rpm also come as a standard for the TTV models. For the Powershift models, the four PTO speeds 540/540 ECO/1,000/1,000 ECO are available. The automatic PTO system engages or disengages the PTO depending on the rear linkage position.

The cab of the new 6 Series models also boasts plenty of new features. It is now mounted on innovative Hydro Silent-Blocks,that reduce up to 40% noise and vibration compared to traditional silent-block, or can be equipped with mechanical or pneumatic suspension. A unique design of the cab windows provides an excellent 360 degree view of the working area.Front and rear windows, available with an optional heated versioncan be opened, along with the side windows. On request, the 33,600 lumen LED package provides an all round improvement to visibility. For maximum comfort, high visibility roof, clima auto and driver seat with pneumatic suspension, can be selected. The working area inside the cab has been designed for comfort in a large operating environment.. The new InfoCenterPro with 5” colour display clearly provides all relevant information on the operating status of the tractor. It can be controlled via MMI. The new right control console is clearly structured. For the new TTV models, the main functions are clearly arranged on the new Powercom S joystick.

Foradditional precision and functionality, there is an optional iMonitor 2 with 8” touch display and MMI control, Agrosky receiver, precision steeringguidance system ‘Visual Guidance’ or the Agrosky Assisted Steering System.
