The comeback: As of January 2017, Schaeff compact construction machinery will be back in use at Europe's construction sites. A milestone in the company's history, just in time for its eightieth birthday. Immediately, three new "Made in Crailsheim" machines in the portfolio.

Yanmar is bringing the Schaeff quality brand back to the construction machinery market. After Yanmar took over the compact construction machinery division out of Crailsheim from Terex Corporation in October 2016, great importance has been placed on the eighty year company history in the Crailsheim factory. Mini excavators, midi excavators, mobile excavators and wheel loaders will be offered again under the Schaeff brand as of January 2017.

Peter Hirschel, Director of Yanmar Compact Germany: "The name Schaeff stands for compact construction machinery, developed and built in Germany. Schaeff is and always was the specialist and technical trendsetter in this segment. We are continuing this tradition with Yanmar. We are very happy and proud that Yanmar is accompanying us on this path."

Those responsible at Yanmar Compact Germany see great potential in the Schaeff brand. "There is virtually no other construction machinery brand with which so many emotions are connected as with Schaeff. Schaeff lives through the enthusiasm of its employees, customers and distributors. We have real fans. And we will build on this," continues Peter Hirschel. "It is also gratifying that our spare parts center in Rothenburg is part of the Yanmar family and therefore good spare parts supply is ensured."

Factory manager Peter Berger sees very good possibilities for production in the collaboration: "In recent years, we have transformed our plant into a modern production facility that meets all requirements for vehicle manufacturing! Our production processes are based on the Toyota Production System, from Japan, which focuses on continuous improvement in productivity, quality and work safety. This goal of perfecting our processes binds us closely with our Japanese colleagues. We speak the same language, when it comes to production, quality and logistics. An outstanding basis for successful cooperation and shaping our future!"

New products from January on

To start, Schaeff is bringing three new machines with the latest Euro Stage IV engine technology to the market in the first quarter. The Schaeff TW95 wheeled excavator, the Schaeff TC125 midi excavator and the Schaeff TL120 wheel loader. The product range in the mini excavator area will be expanded by the Schaeff TC08 and TC10.
