Under the motto “Ideas for the Future”, Amatechnica 2024 took place at the Amazone headquarters in Hasbergen-Gaste and was a big hit with 6,500 farmers, contractors and sales partners from across 40 countries. The weather was perfect and the in-house field day offered ample opportunity to find out about the latest developments and innovations at Amazone. The concept, consisting of practical machinery demonstrations in the field and in the arena, a presentation of the latest innovations in the exhibition centre, a line up of the full machinery portfolio along with factory tours and a vintage machinery show with around 120 old tractors, struck the right note with the discerning visitors. A lively “After-Field Party” in the big marquee directly beside the factory premises rounded off this successful day.
Agritechnica innovations in action
The focus of the visitors‘ interest was mainly on the large number of new products which Amazone had presented last November at Agritechnica 2023. Professional growers could now see the innovative soil tillage implements and seed drills in action in the nearby field and not just as a static exhibition. One of them was the brand-new Precea 6000-TCC trailed precision air seeder, whose performance and precision were demonstrated. The special feature of this high-performance seeder, in a working width of 6 m, is the choice between the Central Seed Supply delivery system or with individual seed hoppers on each sowing unit. To mark 75 years of Amazone seed drills, an extensive collection of old drills and drill combinations was on display in addition to all the current models. This exhibition offered the visitors a fascinating journey through the history in the development of drill technology. Many more machines, including the areas of fertilisation and crop protection, were impressively showcased by the Amazone team in demonstrations.
The expertise in the area of groundcare was presented as part of a special exhibition which enabled the visitors to experience the specialist machinery and implements for green space maintenance and winter road gritting.
Another highlight was the “Walk of Innovation” in the exhibition centre, which took the visitors through an inspiring series of pioneering technologies and smart solutions for precise and sustainable agriculture. Experts from a large number of partner companies were also available for one-to-one discussions.
In addition, a large number of guests used the free bus shuttle to visit the ultra-modern spare parts centre at the Tecklenburg-Leeden site. The new Amazone trials centre in Wambergen was another stop. This is where Amazone develops and tests the latest agricultural and crop establishment concepts. In the “Arable Farming Dialogue” expert forum, technical presentations and demonstrations gave participants a deeper insight into efficiency topics such as Precision Farming and also provided them with the initial results of the new “Controlled Row Farming” (CRF) row-specific arable farming system.
Amazone would like to thank all visitors, partners and employees who contributed to the success of the in-house show and looks forward to seeing everyone again at the next Amatechnica.
