Additional 200 Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailers for P&O Ferrymasters - partnership for even greater customer benefits

Whether by road, rail or sea – P&O Ferrymasters puts its faith in the expertise and experience of the market leader. All semi-trailers will be equipped with the Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect trailer telematics system.

P&O Ferrymasters, one of the leading European providers of customised transport and logistics services, is once again concluding a delivery contract for a further 200 Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailers. They are once again fully equipped with the company’s own TrailerConnect telematics system supplied by Schmitz Cargobull Telematics. The 1,111th semi-trailer has now rolled off the assembly line equipped with the trailer telematics system supplied by the European market leader. Of the 200 semi-trailers now ordered, 75 are configured and equipped as COIL versions and 125 as Universal semi-trailers. All are intended for combined transport (road/rail/sea).

P&O Ferrymasters operates its trailers in various transport segments, such as steel, automotive, chemicals, consumer goods, paper and recycling. In addition to road and multimodal use, the logistics company puts its faith in the movement of trailers by sea. As the P&O Ferrymasters trailers are primarily pulled by sub-contractors, the Europe-wide operating logistics company is especially interested in obtaining transparency about its semi-trailers and their loads, regardless of the semi-trailer tractor, by means of a high-performance trailer telematics system. For this reason, the entire fleet has been equipped with Schmitz Cargobull’s TrailerConnect telematics system within the last two years.

P&O Ferrymasters will acquire durable and flexible tarpaulin semi-trailers from the Schmitz Cargobull S.CS curtainsider semi-trailer product range. All are fitted with special ferry equipment and various load securing components.
