AGCO Corporation, a world-leading manufacturer and distributor of agricultural equipment, is expanding upon its open approach to precision farming through new partners and strategic alliances including Trimble®, AGRAVIS and FarmFacts. By facilitating connections between customers and their other trusted providers, growers can reduce input costs and improve yields and profitability.

Trimble’s Connected Farm Solution

Through collaboration with Trimble, customers can access their AGCO machine data via AGCO’s telemetry product, AgCommand®, as well as their agronomic data through AGCO’s VarioDoc and TaskDocTM task file management platforms, from within the Trimble® Connected Farm dashboard. In addition, Trimble customers also have the option to sync their task data sent via VarioDoc in Trimble’s Farm Management Information Software (FMIS), known as Farm Works Software®.

AGRAVIS’ New iXmap Technology

Another new industry alliance is with AGRAVIS that just announced its new iXmap Technology web portal product and network services. Through the new connection to iXmap, AGCO customers will be able to access their AgCommand machine data and their VarioDoc and TaskDoc agronomic data from within all web portals that are provided by iXmap. Customers will be able to send ISOXML task data and prescription maps from the iXmap web portal directly to AGCO machines.

FarmFacts’ AO Agrar Office and New ‘Next Farming’ Products

FarmFacts, formerly well known as Landdata Eurosoft, and affiliate of Munich-based BayWa AG, launched the cloud-based farm management solution “Next Farming” this month. By integrating with AGCO’s VarioDoc and TaskDoc interface, Next Farming will enable customers to seamlessly exchange task data including prescription and yield maps. In addition AGCO machine data through AgCommand will continue to integrate with FarmFacts’ widely used desktop software, AO Agrar Office. The AO Agrar Office connection is already established with the existing AGCO interfaces and utilized by FarmFacts’ customer base. To further enhance logistical capabilities through their software solutions FarmFacts will also successively implement the AgCommand API to its whole product portfolio.

“Growers need high-tech solutions focused on reducing input costs and improving profitability,” said Bernhard Schmitz, Commercial Manager Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) Products for AGCO’s Europe, Africa and Middle East markets. “Aligning with our Fuse® promise, these partnerships are about openness. We are continually talking to prospective partners that will create better solutions for our customers,” said Schmitz.
