At the RecyclingAKTIV & TiefbauLive (RATL2023) on April 27-29 2023, Ammann will be showing what the current compactor models have to offer and what contractors and machine operators can look forward to in the future.
Ammann takes the motto of the RATL literally and will actively present its latest machines to the specialist audience in action on the two demo areas. In the civil engineering and road construction demo, the smallest single drum roller ARS 30 with dozer blade is in action and in the e-mobility demo, the light e-compactors from Hennef show their skills. Because the benefits of Ammann compactors become particularly clear during the live demonstrations. The range of light compaction will also be shown at stand F208 in the outdoor area. The new Ammann models, the eATR 68 rammer and the eAPF 12/40 forward moving vibratory plate are also used here.
eARX 26-2: Electric drive inside
A good example is the new, compact 2.5 tonne Ammann eARX 26-2 light tandem roller. With its fully electric drive, it can be operated for up to 18 hours - and often even longer. The eARX 26-2 survives the day of the RATL 2023 without any intermediate charging.
Visitors can convince themselves live of the enormous advantages of the electric drive. For example, the up to 46% lower noise level or the pleasant working environment free from emissions. Thanks to these special properties, the eARX 26-2 can be used without restrictions, especially in closed rooms and underground.
The fact that the electric roller can easily keep up with its diesel-powered colleagues in terms of performance shows that the electric drive is now also a real alternative in road construction.
Responding to market demands for single drum roller
Another highlight is the lightest and smallest representative of Ammann´s compactor series: the 3.5-ton single drum roller ARS 30. The combination of compact dimensions and powerful motor makes the ARS30 the ideal compactor for earthworks where vibratory plates reach their limits, but heavy compactors are already too oversized, for example in gardening and landscaping projects, forest or municipal roads.
In addition to the high compaction performance, visitors can also experience the higher traction of the ARS 30 thanks to the standard twin-lock drive. It prevents both wheels from spinning and the drive power is constantly adapted to the soil conditions.
With the electronic degree of compaction measurement, Ammann offers another highlight with the ACEforce system on its machines: the driver can see the current kB value on the display at any time during the pass. This increases operating comfort enormously and also reduces the number of passes required for optimal compaction. A feature that is best experienced on the RATL live demo area.
