Ammann earns prestigious Design Awards

Ammann has earned three coveted Red Dot Awards for outstanding product design. The awards are considered Europe’s highest design honours.

“We are honoured by the awards,” said Hans-Christian Schneider, CEO of Ammann Group. “Our customers know there is a great deal of thought and effort behind each and every Ammann product. These awards are further proof of that.”

Ammann won Red Dot Awards for the Ammann APH 110-95, a three-shaft hydrostatic vibratory plate compactor; the Ammann Rammax 1575 Trench Roller; and the Ammann ARX 90 Articulated Tandem Roller.

“The ARX 90 is logically designed from an ergonomic viewpoint and at the same time displays a distinctive, independent appearance,” Red Dot wrote in its jury statement.

Regarding the trench roller, the jury commented: “With its functional, compact and robust form, the Rammax 1575 imparts the impression of strength and reliability.”

The APH 110-95 earned praise as well. “A high level of functionality and performance characterises this high-performance compactor, which attracts attention due to its distinctive lines,” the jury stated.

An international jury of 38 design professionals from 25 countries evaluated the products and chose winners from among nearly 5,000 entries. The jury only awards the sought-after seal of quality to products that set themselves apart significantly through exceptional design. The Red Dot Award is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
