  • Van der Vlist successfully transported wind turbine tower sections and blades using their Moerdijk terminal and trusted network.

  • The tower parts were loaded onto barges with assistance from BonVent and transported to ArcelorMittal's local terminal.

  • Additional tower components, such as the nacelle and hub, were transported by road from northern Germany.

  • The Van der Vlist team ensured timely delivery to Karolinapolder using special wind-transport equipment and coordinated permits and guidance vehicles.

  • The project was completed reliably and safely, showcasing Van der Vlist's capabilities and partnerships in the energy sector.

With the move of these wind turbine tower sections, Van der Vlist could shine with our combination of activities and the use of our trusted network.

The tower sections and blades had previously been shipped to and stored at our own brand-new Moerdijk terminal. From there, the tower parts were loaded back onto barges, with the help of our contact @BonVent, and transported to the local terminal of our long-term relation @arcelormittal.

In the meantime, the other tower parts (e.g. nacelle and hub) were transported via road from northern Germany. The Van der Vlist team carried out the last mile with the tower sections and blades with our special wind-transport equipment. Together with our office in Germany, the right permits and guidance vehicles were arranged, so the transport arrived in time at Karolinapolder.

The whole process went reliably and safely by using our range of activities and offices, and combining these with the right partners. We are proud to be a part of such a project and look forward to future cooperation with our clients in the energy business.

Together, we create the Power to Care for the world around us.
