analytica China has closed at Shanghai New International Expo Center on October 18, 2012. A total of 580 leading exhibitors presented at the trade fair, increasing by 24 percent and reaching a new record high. The 3-day trade fair also received a historical 16,940 professional visitors and buyers from 66 countries. At the 14 high-quality academic programs held along with the trade fair, another highlight of analytica China, 150 speakers and 2,509 audiences discussed on topics covering analytical chemistry, proteomics, food safety, chromatography and laboratory certification, winning wide accreditation among experts.
“The year 2012 marks the first 10th anniversary of analytica China. We are very happy to see that the trade show is making history in either its size or number of exhibitors and visitors”, said Mr. Norbert Bargmann, Deputy CEO of Messe München International. “The rapid growth of analytica China is mainly a result of the prosperous Chinese market. We will continue our strategy to serve the Chinese as well as Asian market, and create more opportunities for manufacturers and users in China and abroad.”
Exhibition numbers reach new records
analytica China 2012 has continued its successful history with an exhibition area of 25,000 square meters. The three exhibition areas: Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology and Life Science, Analysis and Quality Control, presented the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in laboratory technology, analysis and diagnostics and their applications in food safety, environmental analysis, biotechnology, science, education and public health. Among the exhibitors are leading players in the industry like Agilent, AB SCIEX, Bruker, Hitachi, HORIBA, IKA, Jasco, Jena, Mettler Toledo, Metrohm, PerkinElmer, Shimadzu, Thermo Fisher, VWR and Waters. The exhibitors expressed their highly satisfaction towards analytica China 2012.
Mr. Feng Huo, Vice President, Greater China General Manager of Agilent Technologies (China) Co., Ltd. confirmed that “analytica China is the most economic exhibition compared to similar shows, providing a good platform for exhibitors, visitors and media to communicate with each other. Further, exhibitors can find out about visitors’ demands at analytica China.”
Mr. Shijiang Fu, President of Techomp (China) Ltd. stated: “analytica China is beyond our expectation. We have seen many exhibitors here, not only chemical analysis manufacturers but also bio-chemical ones. I believe analytica China is the best show for suppliers as well as customers.”
The special Biotechnology and Life Science Area won wide recognition among exhibitors and visitors, presenting advanced technologies and products in areas like biotechnological applications, bio-experiments, bioinformatics, biochemical medicine and medical diagnostics. Important exhibitors in this area include: Capitalbio, Corning, Copeland, Eppendorf, Hamilton, Life technologies, Merk Millipore, Pall, Roche, Tecan, Tedia, Zeiss and others.
Siddhartha C. Kadia, President of Life Technologies Greater China was extremely satisfied with visitor quality: “It is a fantastic and big event and there are many suppliers here, and we are pleased to be here. We see many customers, users as well as people who use the technologies and suppliers of course.”
Large number of professional users bring more opportunities
analytica China is continuously getting more attention from professionals, especially users, thanks to its strong influence, rich diversity and high-quality accompanying programs. A total of 16,940 visitors from 66 countries came to the trade fair. Visitors came from several branches, for example from the food industry from companies like Mengniu, Coco Cola, and Wahaha; environmental monitoring institutions as Shanghai Water Supply Scheduling and Monitoring Center, Ningbo Xiangshan Harbor Marine Environmental Monitoring Station; medical and health institutions as Changzheng Hospital, Huashan Hospital, and Shanghai Institute of Hypertension; bio-medical manufacturers as Bayer and SASS; chemical corporations as Dow Chemical, BASF, DuPont, and 3M; daily chemical manufacturers as L'Oreal and Estee Lauder; and manufacturers as Nokia-Siemens and Philips. analytica China, with its highly specialized, international show level, won the high praise of the scene the visitor.
Mr. Ligang Pan, Researcher, Beijing Research Center for Agri-food Testing and Farmland Monitoring expressed: “It’s a great show, maybe the best show I have ever seen in the chemical analysis domain. We found many unexpected products and technologies during the show in the electronics, informatics industry, which inspired us a lot.”
“I have visited analytica China for three times. It's really a good show with many different kinds of products. I have already found some suitable suppliers, gained much here and I will definitely visit again.” said Ms. Yan Fu, Scientist of Analytical Laboratory of Boehringer Ingelheim International Trading (Shanghai).
Moreover, analytica China is applauded by universities and research institutes. Professors and graduate students from Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Jiaotong University and Second Military Medical University, researchers from CAS Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, National Human Genome Research Center, and CAS Shanghai Institute of Life Sciences (Biochemistry and Cell Biology Institute) joined in the trade fair and gave their positive feedbacks. Over 20 universities organized visiting groups to the show. The active participation from universities enabled face-to-face communication between exhibitors and university visitors.
High-profile Accompanying Programs Showcase Industry Hot Topics
High-quality academic programs have always been popular at analytica China. Together with China Chemical Society (CCS), China Human Proteome Organization (CNHUPO), Shanghai Society of Food Science and Sino-German Cooperation Research Gruop for Separation and Analysis of Complex Samples, Messe München International (MMI) organized 14 high-quality academic programs with over 2,509 audiences during analytica China 2012.
