Automatic gear attachment embraced at Engcon

A New Standard is Set

Engcon, the world’s leading manufacturer of tiltrotators – a kind of tilting and rotating quick coupler for excavators – is proud to announce a significant update to its EC-Oil system. Engcon is now the only tiltrotator manufacturer in the world to offer its automatic attachment system without upcharges.

The announcement means that the equipment operator no longer needs to exit the cab to attach with tricky joints and hoses. At no additional charge, equipment owners will now be provided automatic oil, electricity and central lubrication connections.

Engcon's offer includes an EC-Oil block with two hydraulic couplings, a central lubrication clutch and an electrical connection – all that is needed to connect an Engcon tiltrotator. "Another great advantage for customers is that we own the entire system and thus take overall responsibility. One call, one contact gives you your entire solution,” says Stig Engström, Engcon's founder and owner.

“Take full advantage of the excavator's full power and stability when you need it or use the tiltrotor's flexibility when you need that. With EC-Oil, you no longer need to compromise,” explains Stig Engström.

“We asked ourselves why a customer should pay more to get the latest, safest and most comfortable technology. It's time for the customer to acquire all features built-in, as a standard package. This is a small step for Engcon, but a great leap for the excavation industry,” concludes Stig Engström.

Starting on May 1, 2018, Engcon will offer the engine mount in the QS60 size with EC-Oil fully automatic hydraulic coupling at no additional charge. This new policy will also affect the company's tiltrotators with the QS60 (tiltrotator top) and the DC2 control system. The EC-Oil connection to the excavator's machine mount also will be included in Engcon’s base pricing. Standardizing this feature in the other sizes of EC-Oil (QS45, QS50 and QS70) will be rolled out throughout 2018.
