BAUER AG revises forecast

Ad-hoc release: BAUER AG revises forecast due to weak business performance in first half of financial year

Schrobenhausen, 1 August 2013 - BAUER Aktiengesellschaft (ISIN DE0005168108) has had to adjust its forecast for the 2013 financial year due to delays in major projects in the Construction area, reduced margins in the Equipment segment and weaker than anticipated business in the Resources segment.

At EUR -7.9 million, net profit for the period ending 30 June 2013 is below the previous year s figure of EUR -2.8 million and less than expected.

BAUER Aktiengesellschaft therefore assumes that it will not be possible to achieve the forecast given in the Annual Report. Up to now, total Group revenues of more than EUR 1.5 billion, profit after tax of about EUR 30 million and EBIT of around EUR 85 million had been anticipated. The company now expects to achieve total Group revenues of around EUR 1.5 billion, EBIT amounting to about EUR 70 million and profit after tax of around EUR 20 million by the end of the year.

The very healthy order situation in the Construction area, an improving order trend in the Equipment business as well as continuing good prospects in the Resources segment give reason to be more optimistic about future developments.

The final figures for the first half of the 2013 financial year will be published by BAUER AG on 14 August 2013.
