Deutz-Fahr presents major model update for large combine harvesters.
Launched more than 4 years ago, the C9000 series combine harvesters have successfully proven their effectiveness with farmers and contractors. Designed to increase productivity even further, the combine harvester specialists at Deutz-Fahr have revised essential components of their 5-straw walker and 6-straw walker combine harvesters. The Mercedes-Benz engines with 340 hp and 395 hp (250 kW and 290 kW) comply with Stage IV emission levels. The cab and control elements have been fully re-designed and are now even more comfortable, convenient and user-friendly. The long straw flow has been optimised, the grain tank enlarged more than 10% and the unloading speed increased more than 30%.
The control infrastructure in the CommanderCab VI has been completely redeveloped. All control elements are now integrated in the armrest of the new extra-large seat and are based on the control concept of large tractors by Deutz-Fahr. The operating state of the engine and all key settings and monitoring systems of the combine harvester are clearly displayed on the new 8” touchscreen iMonitor and can be easily adjusted by a simple touch on the intuitive display. The monitoring system provides the driver with a good overview of the combine performance, loss display and all warnings.
The Balance system is now operated via a joystick and ensures easy and fast control in rugged terrain. With up to 20% lateral and 6% up/down hill compensation, it ensures maximum harvesting performance in challenging conditions..
Agrosky Precision Farming systems are managed by a second 12" iMonitor and also , displays the images of the rear and side cameras. A total of three cameras are used for monitoring the working environment..
The electronic control lever is ergonomically integrated in the design of the right control armrest of the driver’s seat, enhancing the operating comfort of this already extremely user-friendly large combine harvester.. The driver can easily find their individual seating and control positions and conveniently control and monitor the harvesting systems. New cab noise insulation adds to the high level of driving comfort by significantly lowering the noise level inside the cab. Equipped with a mobile cool box as standard and various trays and compartments, the new cab offers excellent comfort for long days in the field.
The hydrostatic drive with a 4-speed transmission is now controlled electronically and is even more precise than previous versions: the greater the movement, the faster the speed. Cruise control maintains the optimum working speed, while small adjustments can be made by pushing or pulling back the COMMANDER STICK to increase or reduce speed respectively. The maximum speed with special authorisation and approval is up to 25 km/h.
The three-drum MaxiCrop threshing system with independent turbo separator that comes as a standard has been adopted from its predecessor.. With a threshing area of 1.13 m², a wrap angle of 121° and speeds of 210 to 1,250 rpm, it ensures high crop throughput and careful threshing of harvested materials.
The C9300 is also equipped with electrically-adjustable sieves with a total area of up to 6.32 m2 for the 6-straw walker model. Cleaning is carried out very effectively using a turbine fan over the complete width of the sieves. The double grain return system (DGR) threshes the tailings in two rethreshing rotors and returns them to the preparation area on both sides, ensuring an even distribution of the crop to the grain preparation area
The new straw-hood design has been optimised to permit a smoother flow of straw, including chopped straw.
The new spreader of the straw-chopper allows the operator to adjust the chopped straw flow according to the working conditions. While discharging long straw, the spreader is easily converted in a chute to maximize the amount of the straw discharged.
The new design of the straw-hood improves the flow and increases the separation area as the straw-walkers have been extended. The separation surface is 7.46 m2 for the 5 straw-walker models and 8.90 m2 for the 6 straw-walker models.
The grain tank of the new C9300 Series has as an increased capacity to 10,500 l. Thanks to a new two-feed system, the discharge speed through the new unloading pipe is now an impressive 120 l/s. When closing the new 6m grain tank outlet pipe, the feed screw slightly changes the running direction, the crop flow is stopped and no grain will be lost.
The new C9300 is of course equipped with proven cutter bars from the Schumacher cutting system and planetary drive that can be supplied in cutting widths of 5.40 m to 9 m. A selection of Varicrop cutter bars and headers for rape and sunflowers are also available.
The new models are on sale now and are available for the 2018 season .
