  • Hyundai has upgraded its articulated dump truck cabs with a redesigned interior that increases space while lowering external cab height.

  • A new 12-inch touchscreen monitor provides vital machine data and rear-view camera visuals for improved operator awareness.

  • The parking brake now features an auto-hold function activated by push button, easing operation and reducing driver fatigue.

  • Additional enhancements include a larger washer fluid tank with a level sensor, improved wiper performance, and an upgraded HVAC system for better airflow and comfort.

Hyundai’s articulated dump truck (ADT) range has been upgraded, with a series of cab revisions, to better meet the needs of operators. The cab has more internal space, a new 12” touchscreen monitor, a new auto-hold parking brake, larger washer reservoir and an improved heating and ventilation system.

  • Increased internal space and lower noise levels

  • Updated central cluster and new 12” touchscreen monitor

  • Parking brake with auto hold function

  • Larger washer fluid tank with level sensor

  • Improved airflow HVAC system

Hyundai’s growing range of articulated haulers has been refreshed, with a refined cab interior and improved working environment for the operator. Externally, the main change is a reduction in cab height of around 150mm, as the cab’s ‘Top Hat’ cover has been redesigned with a handrail now mounted on the front for improved access.

Despite this lower outer dimension, the interior of the cab has been made more spacious, with a redesign that puts many of the truck’s controls near the operator’s right armrest area. While the main console in the dash has been improved, there is now also a 12” touchscreen monitor on the right-hand A-pillar. Similar to the screens found in Hyundai’s excavators and wheel loaders, this monitor provides all vital machine data to the operator, while also providing a high-definition screen for the rear-view camera.

The parking brake assembly has been redesigned and now comes with an auto-hold function, activated by push button as the machine comes to a halt and then releasing as the operator drives away. This eases operation for the driver, reducing fatigue and boosting productivity.

While the glazing is unchanged, offering an excellent view all around the cab, the washer tank capacity has been increased from 5.8 litres to 8.7 litres, resulting in less downtime for refilling. A level sensor provides the operator with a warning as the washer fluid gets low, preventing the machine running out in the middle of the site. Wiper function and clearing area has also been improved as part of the update.

The cab’s HVAC system is also improved, with better control of airflow around the driver, ensuring rapid window clearing in cold weather and a comfortable working environment. The revised cab can be found on Hyundai’s latest HA30A and HA45A models, providing operators with increased comfort and control, while reducing effort and fatigue throughout the working day.
