Cargotec centre in Tampere was the first office building in the City of Tampere and eighth building in Finland to receive the BREEAM final certification. The level of the certification is "Good" and it was received in March.

"We are proud to have achieved such an esteemed acknowledgement for the new building. It was especially pleasing to note that our procedures for health and well-being, energy-efficiency and waste management received the highest scores", notes Kauko Autio, Director, Real Estate/Safety and Security Officer, Cargotec Finland. "Compared to Finnish requirements for new buildings, the energy-efficiency of our new centre is over 25 percent better than average."

Cargotec's technology and competence centre in Tampere was opened in December 2012. In the centre, Cargotec's Kalmar business area focuses strongly on the development of energy-efficient, safe and intelligent machinery and automation solutions.
