CECE discusses industry priorities for the future EU-UK partnership

On 18th February, CECE had a meeting with the United Kingdom Mission to the European Union (EU) and with a representative from the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to discuss the future relationship between the UK and the EU.

During the exploratory talks, CECE presented some of its priorities for the future partnership, stressing the importance of free-trade and maintaining the level-playing field for manufacturers across the channel.

The first round of negotiations between the UK and the EU started on 2nd March and it will last until Thursday 5th March 2020. This round covers 11 areas including trade in goods and services, energy and transport.
