On 14th and 15th May a team from CECE joined more than 1.000 participants from industry, start-up, government and academia that gathered in Brussels for the EIT Raw Materials Summit 2025.
For this year’s edition, the Summit focused on the future of mining in Europe and the actions required to meet the 2030 targets enshrined in the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA).
The rich panel program covered most of the hottest topics in the raw materials community: from the importance of a resilient raw materials supply chain for European industrial competitiveness – and in particular for defense - to financing of mining projects, to successful implementation of Strategic Projects and innovation in the extraction, processing and refining space.
Mining industry CEOs shared their sense of urgency in implementing the CRMA and pursuing ambitious goals especially in a turbulent geopolitical times like the one we’re leaving, a call for action that our industry shares.
The Summit has been a great occasion for CECE to exchange with policymakers and industry stakeholders regarding our priorities for the months ahead related to the CRMA implementation.
