The meeting was the occasion to learn about the outcome of the first meeting of European Critical Raw Materials Board (ECRMB or the Board), held on 23rd May that saw representatives of the 27 Member States and the European Commission come together to agree on the working program and the rules that will govern the activities of the Board.

CECE highlighted once more the importance of mining equipment and technology for an efficient, sustainable and resilient raw materials value chain in Europe. Moreover, CECE expressed its interest to contribute to the dialogue on the CRMA implementation and made concrete recommendations on how to make the process more inclusive by allowing the participation of industry representatives to the Board works.

CECE took the opportunity to invite the European Commission to the upcoming CECE Congress (24-25 October in Madrid) as it will offer great opportunities to meet our members and enjoy a program that is focusing also on the mining industry.

CECE Mining is looking forward to further collaboration with the European Commission and other policymakers to ensure a rapid and effective implementation of the CRMA as it is considered key to secure benefits for its members.
