On 18th September, President Marchetta met with MEP Tom Vandenkendelaere to review CECE’s stance and ongoing activities concerning the new proposal for NRMM regulation. The CECE position paper was published at the end of July and this meeting offered a valuable opportunity to set forth the amendments and improvements that CECE envisions.

Regarding the NRMM regulation, President Marchetta also met with Medhi Hocine, Head of Unit, Machinery & Equipment at the European Commission DG GROW, and with representatives from the French Permanent Representation.

These dialogues provided an important opportunity to work towards CECE’s aim of a more coherent and clear text that will ensure road safety all over Europe.

CECE looks forward to continued discourse on these topics and to future meetings with key European institution actors. As the voice of the European construction equipment industry, CECE remains dedicated to representing the sector’s concerns and interests at the EU level.
