“The South American market offers the intralogistics sector some outstanding opportunities and excellent market potential, and Brazil plays a leading role in this growth. The second CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA demonstrated that the key players on the international marketplace regard this event as the most important intralogistics show in South America. The strong growth in attendance confirms this exceptional position”, said Wolfgang Pech, Senior Vice President at Deutsche Messe AG.

Attracting a total of 18,236 visitors, CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA registered a 45 percent increase in attendance compared with 2011. The visitors came from a total of 28 countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, the USA, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and, naturally, Brazil.

Leading manufacturers exhibiting at CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA, such as Dabo Clark, Hyster, Jungheinrich, Linde, Paletrans, Still, Toyota and Yale, all stated that they were very satisfied with the event.

The Brazilian company Paletrans used CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA as a platform for showcasing their new PR20i, a fork lift truck with improved ergonomic features and optimized electronic control of the hoisting and lowering speeds. “With our participation in CeMAT SOUTH AMERICA we wanted to demonstrate our national competitiveness”, said Ivens Menschwerdung, CEO at Paletrans. We will be able to consolidate the position of Jungheinrich in Brazil and South America.”
