Challenger is introducing the newest addition to its RoGator lineup – the RG700 – a 2650 litre capacity self-propelled sprayer machine built with the same attention to detail and durability as its bigger RoGator brothers.
Making its debut at Agritechnica 2013, the RG700 self-propelled sprayer combines RoGator professional-grade quality and dependability with flexibility to meet spraying requirements with a smaller tank size. It is the ideal RoGator for farmers and contractors requiring a lighter weight, more nimble sprayer that delivers the highest level of performance.
A replacement for the popular SpraCoupe lightweight sprayer, the RG700 delivers more power with a new 175hp AGCO POWERTM engine. It is also equipped with the latest technology systems, is easy to operate and, like larger RoGator models, features an application-specific cab design that maximises operator comfort and safety.
“From the ground up, the RG700 is designed to deliver exceptional precision and performance at the top of its class,” said Hubertus von Dungern, Manager Product Marketing. “No matter what the conditions, the RG700 provides all the power and dependability to get in the fields and get the job done.”
The RG700 offers an industry-leading all-wheel drive Smart Drive System, even weight distribution and Parallel C-channel Flex Frame, all of which combine to provide consistent field speed with stability and excellent traction with all four wheels remaining on the ground. The result is a smoother ride, less wear and tear on the booms, and more precise product application, even under varying field conditions.

Powerful, high-torque engine tackles all spraying tasks and terrain
With 175hp, the RG700’s AGCO POWERTM engine is more powerful than many competitive sprayers, and produces more torque that provides consistent power to pull through hills, rough terrain and soft, wet ground.
Infinite speed selection for accurate spraying
The single hydrostat 110cc drive system provides infinite speed ranges, with no gear shifting. The operator can select the desired speed for the spraying task in hand and maintain spray output precisely, regardless of field conditions. A top speed of up to 48kph cuts travel times on the road.
Smart Drive System keeps moving forward
Speed sensors at each wheel motor ensure that all four wheels are always turning at the same speed, eliminating wheel spinning when entering the field and on soft, wet ground.
Automatic traction control is standard to allow the RG700 to work in wet conditions and on hilly terrain without spinning wheels or getting stuck. Crop damage is minimised, spraying is consistently accurate and workrates are improved.
Parallel C-Channel Flex frame adjusts to the terrain
This unique frame keeps all four wheels on the ground and driving, even on rough, uneven surfaces. Pioneered by RoGator in 1993, this system is so stable that wheels can flex as much as 35cm (14in) and still maintain four points of solid contact with the ground. The result is a smoother, safer ride and consistent application of product to the ground through improved boom control.
Standard Active Air Suspension System enhances spraying accuracy and extends the life of the machine
The state-of-the-art Air Spring Suspension System with rear sway control gives a smoother ride which is more comfortable for the operator, along with consistent boom height position for more accurate spraying across the field. It also offers a constantly adjusting ride as the tank empties and the load diminishes.
Spring suspension keeps booms level, minimises wear and tear and gives straight, true steering as the improved shock absorption and lower vibration means the machine stays in the row, further minimising crop damage. Less wear and tear also means less maintenance, longer life and better resale value.
Adjustable track widths for different crops
Two axle configurations (narrow and standard) allow for multiple track widths to operate quickly and easily through a wide variety of crops, crop heights and field conditions. The standard 2.26m (90in) axle gives clearance of 1.36m (54in).
Dedicated application cab design
All RoGator models feature the industry’s only cabs designed specifically for application, built with operator comfort and safety in mind.
Visibility is enhanced by the RG700’s six-post cab design that provides a wide, panoramic front windshield and curved windows in the corners for unmatched visibility. Folded booms rest below the sightlines for better road visibility.
Safety is improved with wider platforms and a lower first step onto the walkway that provide easier, more convenient access. There’s no need to go under the booms to get in and there’s enough room on the platform to easily open the door and enter the cab.
Operator comfort is addressed with sound-dampening materials for a quieter ride plus an ergonomic armrest and joystick configuration that controls all functions from boom raise and lower to the master on/off and shuttle shifting, so all operations are easily to hand.
Efficient filling design for minimal downtime
The filling station is designed for a quick, simple and safe filling process. The liquid system is designed to achieve maximum output flow and industry leading tip-to-tip application accuracy.
Smart Hydraulic System offers machine protection
Drive pressure is kept low, which keeps the system cooler, limits engine load and extends engine life. Hydraulic flow is meticulously controlled based on speed and terrain, and oil temperature is carefully controlled so you’re always working, not overheating.
Boom options for efficient spraying
There is a choice of 24 or 28 metre boom widths, equipped with 50 cm nozzle spacing. Norac Boom Height control can be specified for perfect field contour following and reliable, accurate spraying even on undulating ground.
Leading technology systems make light work of spraying
From sprayer and boom height controllers to assisted steering systems to the AGCONTROLLER information centre and AGCOMMANDTM telemetry system for monitoring machine performance data, the RG700 is fitted with the latest technology systems to maximise productivity and profitability.
“The addition of the RG700 to our industry-leading RoGator and TerraGator lineup reinforces our commitment to the application industry by providing the best machines for farmers and contractors across Europe,” said Hubertus von Dungern. “We look forward to showcasing this exciting new machine at Agritechnica.”
