CIFA Energya electric mixer on Scania XT BEV electric truck

CIFA and Scania are together exhibiting a fully electric concrete mixer: Energya mixer on Scania 25 P BEV at the Bauma fair in Munich. The electric 7 m3 electric mixer is mounted on and powered by a robust and flexible Scania 25 P in XT guise with a 6x2*4 chassis. Solutions like this BEV, with GTWs of up to 28 tonnes, are ideal for urban operations where range, manoeuvrability and load-carrying capacity in combination with zero tailpipe emission are in demand.

A Scania 25 P XT battery electric vehicle with a concrete mixer from CIFA is on display in CIFA’s stand at the Bauma fair in Munich. It is extremely well suited for demanding operations in busy city areas where maneuverability, robustness and zero tailpipe emissions are among the top priorities.

The CIFA Energya SLE7 mixer bodywork represents the latest technology in this field. It is powered via the trucks e-PTO and on a typical working day, when the truck will travel anything between 120 to 200 km, something like 30 kWh will be needed for operating the mixer itself. It is rotated by a 650V electric motor + inverter (both cooled by a specific water pump + heat exchanger coolant circuit), and the solution also includes 24V auxiliary devices and a pressurised water tank.

The Ivory White Scania 25 P XT is sporting a CP 17 day cab, its distinct XT features bear witness about robustness. With an axle distance of 4,350 mm and an electric steered tag axle, it offers excellent maneuverability in cramped and narrow areas such as urban construction sites. It is powered by a 230 kW (approximately 310 hp) electric machine with two gears . The installed battery capacity on this individual is 297 kWh, offering ranges of up to 250 km.
