361 million euros turnover, +6% compared to 2013, 1,250 employees in Italy and around the world. With these figures, Comer Industries takes part in Expo 2015 inside CIBUS è ITALIA, the pavilion designed to stage the made in Italy food production, a story telling about the Italian tradition combined with high technology in agricultural mechanization and the food industry.
The Shareholders’ Meeting approved 2014 consolidated financial statements of Comer Industries. The company closed 2014 with a consolidated turnover of 361 million euros, + 6% compared to the previous year, reached despite the uncertainty that characterized the global markets and the first signs of crisis in the agricultural sector. The most significant performance was achieved in the industrial area (+5% over 2013), particularly the wind power sector, while the agricultural market fell 3% compared to 2013. 60% of revenue was gained in the European Union and 33% in North and Central America, slightly increasing over the past year.
The year just ended marked the completion of the rebuilding and expansion work of the historical plant in Reggiolo, badly damaged by the 2012 earthquake. The new industrial complex, equipped with state-of-the-art technology for energy saving and environmental sustainability, extends over a surface area of over 20,000 m2 (215,278 ft2) for a production capacity of 450,000 pieces per year and an overall investment of more than 12 million euros.
The rebuilding of the Reggiolo factory is included in the Three-Year Strategic Plan, approved by the company on last September, based on the implementation of the Comer Business System (CBS) organization system, aimed at the optimization of company processes as well as at increasing efficiency and competitiveness.

Comer Industries is exhibiting in Expo 2015 as part of “CIBUS è ITALIA” in the Federunacoma (National Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers) space. The exhibition area presents the history of the Made in Italy food production, in a fascinating journey among excellent products, where Italian tradition is combined with high technology in agricultural mechanization and the food industry.
