Comfort upped on Krone forage wagons

Forage wagon operators often struggle in situations where the pick-up does not lift out high enough when the forage wagon is making the headland turn. An intelligent solution to the problem is Krone's new and optional headland control system for the pick-up and the articulated drawbar. The feature allows operators to program two different height settings for an articulated drawbar to the tractor's control box: the topmost and bottommost position which is then adopted automatically with the help of an angle sensor. So, next time the pick-up is raised, the articulated drawbar is also lifted automatically to the programmed top position to increase the ground clearance during the headland turn and when travelling over swaths. Vice versa when the pick-up lowers back into work, the articulated drawbar also resumes its programmed bottom position (for example loading position).

The new automatic drawbar control system also interacts with the wagon's automatic unloading system. After all the material has been discharged and the tailgate is closed, the drawbar moves automatically into the preset top position, for example levelling it for road travel.
The automatic articulated drawbar control is a great relief for operators who can now concentrate on the job in hand. The new system is now available for the Krone AX and MX self-loading/unloading forage wagons as well as for the ZX range of dual-purpose wagons.
