The first Potain MCT 565 A crane, which was launched in June 2022, has been delivered to a project in Singapore. The jobsite comprises three residential blocks and is expected to be completed in June 2025.
“The Potain MCT 565 A crane is a perfect choice for this first project as its compact design and shorter counter-jib make it ideal for congested jobsites, where space is at a premium. In Singapore, we have many of these sites,” said Johnny Kuah, regional sales manager for tower cranes at Manitowoc.
The Potain MCT 565 A is a more compact yet equally high-performance version of the 32 t capacity MCT 565 M32. It can be rigged with a minimum of 25 m of jib – 5 m less than the 30 m minimum required for the regular versions. The counter-jib can be shorter too, with just 15 m needed on the MCT 565 A while still allowing the crane to work with up to 35 m of jib. This gives customers the ability to position these powerful topless cranes into tight working locations and lift larger loads.
