Manitou Group, a worldwide reference in the handling, aerial work platform and earthmoving sectors, is unveiling new solutions at CONEXPO, one of the world’s premier international construction trade shows. The group reaffirms its commitment to innovation and performance, with a strategic emphasis on electrification—represented by four distinct product ranges—and the expansion of its compact loader offerings for the North American market. These product developments are driven by the new LIFT 2030 roadmap, which centers on evolving customer requirements.

Launch of new compact loader models

Five new large-frame skid steer and track loader models are now available for the North American market (first deliveries are scheduled during March), featuring rated operating capacities ranging from 3,250 lbs to 3,600 lbs. Manufactured in Madison, South Dakota, these machines represent a comprehensive redesign of the segment, harmonizing advanced functionality with modern design. The lineup includes three skid steer loaders available under the GEHL and Manitou brands, and two track loaders also available under both brands.

Each model delivers exceptional performance, boasting high load capacities, a bucket breakout force of up to 47.3 lbf, and a hinge pin height of up to 11 ft. These loaders utilize vertical lift linkage, specifically engineered for truck loading and stable material handling. Hydraulic performance is a key differentiator, featuring load-sensing systems that optimize fuel consumption and power delivery, alongside comprehensive auxiliary flow (standard flow up to 25 gpm and high flow up to 40 gpm). This variable flow provides operators with precise power when utilizing attachments. Nathan Ryan, Compact Loader Product Manager, states: "The chassis, structure, and inherent robustness of these models allow operators to lift, carry, and position heavy loads with total confidence. When combined with our hydraulic performance, the result is an extremely efficient machine that is a pleasure to operate."

The operator experience is further enhanced by a more spacious cab, equipped with a new 7-inch color display, an exclusive backlit keypad, and intuitive controls. Renowned legacy features have been retained, such as the IdealTrax™ automatic track tensioning system and the IdealAccess™ fold-up door. The Hydraglide™ ride control system is now standard, improving operator comfort and material retention. Furthermore, the new lift arm design provides superior visibility and protects hydraulic hoses. Maintenance is streamlined via large engine compartments and connectivity through the myMANITOU and myGEHL mobile apps for operational monitoring and fleet management.

This segment is represented at CONEXPO by the GEHL V335 skid steer loader and the Manitou 3600 VT track loader.

A 100% electric model for North America

Designed exclusively for North American requirements, the MTA 519 e telehandler operates on a 33 kWh lithium-ion battery that can be partially charged. This configuration reduces maintenance costs by 56%, significantly lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) compared to internal combustion equivalents. With a lifting height of 19 ft 1 in and a capacity of 5,500 lbs, this telehandler is ideal for indoor applications, urban centers, and emission or noise reduction sites, with an autonomy up to 5 hours of continuous operation. It features the Harmony dashboard for secure, simplified operation.

This model was specifically tailored for the North American market, featuring a new cab, a specialized joystick, and a universal skid steer connection for attachments frequently used in the USA. First deliveries are expected toward the end of Q2 2026. Manufactured in France, the MTA 519 is now transported to the USA via the Neoliner, the world’s largest sailing cargo ship, operating between Nantes, France, and the Port of Baltimore, Maryland. By utilizing wind energy, the Neoliner reduces carbon emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional vessels, supporting Manitou Group’s SBTi-validated low-carbon trajectory.

Commitment to full-range electrification

Manitou Group is accelerating its energy transition in North America with the LIFT 2030 strategic roadmap. The group aims for electric machines to represent 28% of total sales by 2030. This transition focuses on expanding 100% electric solutions—including MEWP and fixed and rotating telehandlers—that match diesel performance while reducing TCO.

At CONEXPO, the group is showcasing its versatile aerial work platform lineup, featuring four all-electric models—including three scissor lifts and one vertical mast lift—with platform heights ranging from 19 to 32 ft 2 in. Also taking center stage is the MRT 2660 e hybrid version, a rotating telehandler that delivers a remarkable lifting height of up to 85 feet and a maximum load capacity of 13,200 lbs. Engineered for the modern urban landscape, this versatile model ensures peak efficiency in the most constrained low-emission zones. It could be configured with an additional battery for extended 8-hour shifts or the E-Xtra generator for continuous hybrid autonomy.

High-reach rotating telehandlers

The group unveils its latest rotating telehandler, the Manitou MRT 4070. As the flagship of the VISION+ range, it offers the highest lift height in the rotating lineup, reaching 131 feet with a maximum lift capacity of 15,400 lbs. Its performance is further highlighted by a significant horizontal outreach of up to 88 feet. Powered by a 211 hp engine, the model features a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) for seamless power delivery. The MRT 4070 is engineered for a wide range of applications, including industrial construction, maintenance and renovation, masonry, roofing, and both wood and steel framing. Key advantages include faster setup times to minimize machine repositioning and optimized maneuverability on confined jobsites. The "Easy Step" cab access ensures safe and effortless entry and exit, while the remote control system provides operators with enhanced flexibility. "The ability to work in tight spaces, combined with a compact footprint, allows us to offer a 131-foot lift height model that remains simple to operate and set up," says Carlo Alberto Razzoli, Global Product Manager for rotative telehandlers. Initial deliveries for this high-reach model are scheduled to begin in Q4 2026.

Telehandlers dedicated to North American customers

The Manitou MTA 842 model has undergone a complete redesign, with the primary objective of reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by 8.7% compared to the previous version. Designed to improve ergonomics and safety, it offers simplified engine access, easier cab entry via the Easy-step system, and enhanced visibility for the operator. Particularly suited for various rental categories, its primary applications include general construction and tasks requiring precise material placement, offering a maximum lift capacity of 8,000 lbs and a lift height of 42 ft.

The Manitou MTA 1242 MAX telehandler, presented at CONEXPO, is designed to increase forward reach & stability with the utilization of the front outrigger system. It boasts a lift capacity of 12,000 lbs with or without stabilizers deployed at a lifting height of 42 ft, and benefits from high pump capacity, making it an ideal choice for heavy construction. First deliveries are scheduled for Q1.

Attachments tailored to customer requirements

Manitou Group is showcasing three new attachments at CONEXPO to address the diverse needs of compact loader & telehandlers users. The new 75” 2-Speed Brush Mulcher stands as the most powerful in the range. Engineered for intensive use, this attachment features a two-speed variable displacement hydraulic motor, optimizing rotor torque and speed across a flow range of 20 to 75 gpm. This power enables the cutting of trunks with diameters up to 18 inches. Ergonomics are equally prioritized: thanks to a tilted frame and a push bar equipped with directional hooks, operators can take down and mulch standing trees with extreme precision, while monitoring performance in real-time via an integrated pressure gauge. Every detail has been engineered to provide uncompromising durability in the most hostile industrial and forestry environments. This attachment is already available to order.

To maximize the versatility of high-reach MRT rotating telehandlers, Manitou Group introduces the new JW 2100/3000 (6,614 lbs capacity) jib winch. Specifically designed for the transport and installation of roof trusses and beams, this attachment features a hook speed of up to 131 ft/min that applies to the raising and lifting direction, ensuring increased jobsite productivity. Its innovative tubular structure provides an optimal weight-to-rigidity ratio while extending the machine's forward reach. With a long-reach cable allowing for negative lift operations and a compact design (1,355 lbs and a length of 7 ft), this winch establishes itself as the ideal tool for the most demanding precision maneuvers, and should hit the market in Q4 2026.

Manitou Group also presents its attachment catalog with the PRGSA 750 grapple pruning saw. Designed to enhance safety and efficiency on forestry sites, it offers a cutting capacity of up to 30 inches in diameter. Featuring a 360° rotation system and a robust grapple, this tool ensures precise handling and a firm grip on logs. Its design includes a self-lubricating chain and integrated suspension, thereby ensuring reduced maintenance and long-term durability. Directly compatible with Manitou rotating telehandlers, it represents a significant asset for forestry professionals. 

A dedicated space for innovation

With innovation as its core DNA, Manitou Group is hosting a dedicated technological showcase at CONEXPO throughout the duration of the event. This "Innovation Space" highlights the SafeAlert detection system. This cutting-edge technology, available on Stage V machines, combines an AI-powered HD camera with an intelligent detection system capable of identifying obstacles and recognizing pedestrians even in the most demanding conditions. Three vigilance zones (green, orange, red) provide a clear reading of risk levels, reinforced by instantaneous visual and audible alerts. These various settings (zones, alerts) are fully configurable to adapt to the constraints of each specific application.

Engineered for optimal safety without compromising productivity, the SafeAlert solution reduces blind spots, limits false alarms, and simplifies navigation through intuitive assistance. Its rugged design ensures unfailing reliability, protecting both operators and equipment on jobsites while fostering a more serene and efficient work environment.

Connectivity is further demonstrated by a geolocalization device. This small module acts as an innovative and universal traceability solution, specifically designed for fleet management regardless of the machine's brand. This device centralizes data to instantly locate attachments, whether they are shared among multiple users or distributed across numerous jobsites. A true decision-making tool, this system optimizes operational logistics through real-time movement alerts during zone entries and exits, facilitating the rapid reallocation of unused resources and the security of high-value attachments. Combining efficiency with cost control, this solution stands out for its ease of installation and the absence of a subscription fee.
