Convincing experience: an ATF 110G-5 becomes the most powerful crane of the TADANO fleet at DAUM HKS.

Since its foundation in 1990, DAUM HKS has mainly relied on cranes made by TADANO. This applies also for the new ATF 110G-5 which, as the first 5-axle crane in the fleet, was able to prove its power successfully right after delivery.

Jürgen Klee, founder of the company, started his enterprise in 1990 with a RTF 40-3 model. It has been followed so far by approximately 20 TADANO cranes at the full-service provider DAUM HKS from Eisenach. In line with their philosophy, Jürgen Klee and his daughter Diana Klee now considered the time to be ripe for a 5-axle model as the most powerful mobile crane within the fleet, which would have to be another TADANO.

When deciding for the ATF 110G-5, power was not the only issue at stake. Jürgen Klee, qualified crane operator, was also convinced by the dual-engine concept which TADANO is the only manufacturer to further develop from the medium to the highest load capacity class. Jürgen Klee already had the opportunity of benefiting himself from one practical advantage of this concept: the superstructure engine being located behind the crane cab, noise exposure for the crane operator has been minimized. Plus, the ATF 110G-5 working with five axles in this weight category is a contribution to safety at work in the crane specialist's view. Regarding this feature, TADANO is also the only supplier on the market.

Moreover, the ATF 110G-5 was the right answer to the customers' requirements. "Being compelled to borrow vehicles in this weight category previously, we are now capable of managing the huge number of orders with our own means", Jürgen Klee substantiates this decision. Immediately upon delivery on 18 November 2014, the ATF 110G-5 was deployed with full counterweight for placing concrete stations. The Managing Director comments on this: "Our decision for the ATF 100G-5 has proved to be worthwhile. The crane is capable of much more performance than you would expect from such a vehicle based on work experience."

Jürgen Klee gives reasons for his loyalty to TADANO: "Due to the dual-engine concept, TADANO cranes are perceptibly more economical and extremely powerful - even without additional counterweight, which can be noticed especially when such a crane is used as mobile crane or "taxi crane". The model-overreaching, easily understandable and clearly arranged operating elements enable crane operators to quickly familiarize themselves with all cranes. Today, there are no "bad" cranes; all that is necessary is that the overall package fits together.
