Countdown to ANMOPYC’s General Assembly 2026

• ANMOPYC’s General Assembly 2026 will be held on 2 July at ITA in Zaragoza, gathering key stakeholders from the construction and mining machinery industry.

• The event includes a review of past achievements, future plans, and a market outlook presentation by Off-Highway Research.

• A Technical Forum will focus on the EU Data Act, covering regulatory frameworks, technology platforms, and practical impacts on the machinery sector.

• The Economic Forum will discuss global mining markets and emerging regions such as MERCOSUR, India, and Africa.

• The assembly will close with a motivational talk by Miguel Ángel Tobías on personal growth and living with purpose.

ANMOPYC’s General Assembly will take place next Thursday, 2 July 2026, at the facilities of ITA, the Aragón Institute of Technology, in Zaragoza. It is undoubtedly the leading event for our industry, bringing together representatives from across the construction and mining machinery sector: manufacturers, importers, bodies, institutions, rental associations, construction companies, excavation companies—in short, the entire sector.

The event will begin with the General Assembly of members, during which the Association’s main achievements over the past year will be reviewed and its future action plans presented.

This will be followed by a presentation from Chris Sleight, Managing Director of Off-Highway Research, the leading consultancy in our sector. He will provide highly relevant information on the development and outlook for machinery sales in the construction, public works and mining equipment market.

At the same time, the Technical Forum will begin. This year’s forum will focus on the Data Act and will address Regulation (EU) 2023/2854 on harmonised rules on fair access to and use of data (the Data Act), as well as what it truly means for companies in the machinery sector. Through a series of presentations, the main obligations will be explained, along with the opportunities arising from access to and use of machine-generated data in an increasingly digitalised environment. The forum will feature speakers representing the entire value chain—manufacturers, technology providers and users—offering a comprehensive perspective firmly rooted in the reality of the sector.

The first section of this Technical Forum will focus on the rules of the game and the regulatory framework: an overview of the Data Act and its main implications for the sector. It will include presentations by M.ª Cristina Martínez-Tercero Molina, Head of Digital Law, Compliance and Intellectual Property at INTEGRA, and Noemí Brito, Partner and Head of the Digital Legal Area at KPMG.

Following a break, the programme will continue with the Economic Forum. First, Esther Yuste, Director of BGM Business Global Management, will speak about the current state of the global mining market. This will be followed by a round table on MERCOSUR, India and Africa, in which Cesce expert analysts Rafael Loring Rubio, M.ª José Hernando and Lidia Candal Suárez will outline the current situation and future forecasts for these markets. The discussion will be moderated by Patricia Polo Alejos, Head of Strategic Business Relations at Cesce.

Finally, there will be a presentation entitled “The Machines and Industries of the Future,” delivered by David Díez, Technological Innovation Expert at ITA, and José Manuel Olaizola, Head of Business Development at TECNALIA.

Meanwhile, after the break, the Technical Forum will continue with two further sessions on the Data Act. The first, entitled “The Data Act and Technology: From Data to the Industrial Platform,” will explore the role of platforms and technology solutions in the management and use of industrial data. It will feature presentations by Facundo Ayala, Area Manager at AWAYTER, and a representative from HIBERUS.

The final session, “The Data Act in Practice: Impact on the Industrial Value Chain,” will address how data is applied to real-world operations in the machinery sector. This session will include David García, Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Lines; and Armando Murga, Digital and Technology Director, both from LOXAM and, finally, Antón Borraz Mir, ICT and Innovation Manager at GRUPO LOBE.

To close the event, Miguel Ángel Tobías will deliver a presentation entitled “Living with Purpose.” Tobías is a renowned Spanish director, film and documentary producer, writer and speaker, known for creating television formats such as Españoles en el Mundo. In addition to his audiovisual work, he is also recognised as an influential communicator through motivational talks on personal growth, overcoming fear, pain versus suffering, and the search for meaning in life.
