Daifuku North America, the leading provider of material handling solutions, and subsidiary Wynright Corporation announced today a series of product demonstrations in Booth No. 1013 at ProMat 2015, the largest expo for manufacturing and supply chain professionals in North America, March 23-26 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Combining engineering prowess, products and services, Daifuku North America and Wynright solve the material handling systems challenges of the 21st Century supply chain.

The live, in-booth demonstration showcases an integrated system of the companies’ latest innovations that are elevating the industry.   Wynright's Robotic De-palletizer will use 3D vision-sensing technology to de-palletize mixed cases from a Jervis B. Webb Company SmartCart Automatic Guided Cart (AGC). The affordable and flexible SmartCart will follow magnetic tape guidance to travel to Wynright's new energy-efficient Green Line Conveyor for reloading.

“As a result of our innovations, revenue was up in 2014,” said Aki Nishimura, President of Daifuku North America Holding Company.  “We plan to continue to increase revenue and operating income this year through new technology initiatives, reducing costs by streamlining processes and improving customer service.”

“Material handling innovation is occurring at a rapid pace in today’s always-on environment, and Daifuku North America companies are driving many of these new technologies,” said Rob Schmit, President of subsidiary Jervis B. Webb Company.  “Our AGCs, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and other solutions, for example, are helping thousands of companies in nearly every industry improve their material handling operations.”

Besides the AGC, Daifuku North America will showcase its System Automation Manager (SAM™), SmartPanel HMI display and mobile app.  SAM is a robust control system for AGVs and AGCs that manages the movement of all vehicles and provides comprehensive reports.

“Providing flexible solutions that meet our customers’ unique needs both today and in the future are always at the forefront when we are innovating,” said Sarah Carlson, Director of Marketing at Daifuku North America.  “Our company is committed to driving process improvements throughout the manufacturing and supply chain worlds, and we’re excited to be sharing our latest products at ProMat.”

“Advanced 3D vision perception is a key element of our systems, helping solve many of the most challenging tasks in a material handling environment,” said Kevin Ambrose, President and CEO of Wynright.  “Automation continues to expand as warehouse operators seek efficiencies and try to accommodate burgeoning workloads.  Wynright will showcase its vision for meeting these challenges head-on.”
