De Rycke verhuur is expanding its plant hire fleet with 21 Hyundai Construction Equipment machines

De Rycke verhuur is expanding its plant hire fleet with 21 Hyundai machines. The deal has been set up by HMB, the Belgian Construction Equipment dealer of Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE) and is based on confidence in the dealer and the brand, the solid all-round dealer service, the smooth after-sales service and a strong price.

De Rycke verhuur is one of the largest plant hire businesses in Belgium, with branches in Beveren-Waas, Boom, Evergem, Tubeke and Tessenderlo. With a hire fleet of over 3000 machines, it has the right equipment for every job. The high level of demand in the plant hire market soon brought De Rycke verhuur to HMB. The HX and HW machines are known for their durability, operator comfort (with, among other things, large cabs, air conditioning and large touch screens) and safety. The purchase covers 21 machines, comprising 5 x 23.5 tonne excavators (HX235LCR), 5 x 22 tonne excavators (HX220L), 2 x 38 tonne excavators (HX380L), 2 x 5.5 tonne wheeled excavators (HW55-9A), 5 x skid steer loaders (HSL650-7A) and 2 wheeled excavators each weighing 14 tonnes (HW140).

The heart of the matter: a high level of confidence, close presence, strong price, outstanding service and faultless after-sales service

De Rycke verhuur was already familiar with HMB. The personal contacts between Nico De Smit, commercial representative at HMB, and Peter De Rycke, the founder and manager of De Rycke verhuur, were the starting point for the contract. Furthermore, the client noted that the Hyundai Construction Equipment brand has been a constant value for 25 years on the European market. The Korean fleet is equally as good as the other makes in all respects. Its machines are affordable and hold a strong residual value after years of reliable service.

Other advantages are HMB’s branches in Assenede and Beringen, as well as the sub-dealer network. In addition, De Rycke verhuur’s latest branch is right next to Hyundai Construction Equipment’s European head office in Tessenderlo, where its 12.000 m² parts warehouse is also located. This is an outstanding guarantee of fast service in an industry where uptime is of prime importance!

The start of a great story

Nico De Smit at HMB is already positive about this milestone: “Everything begins with a good relationship of trust and open communication between all the parties concerned. The competition was strong, of course, but acting transparently and quickly soon made it obvious that this deal was a good one. I'm convinced that our collaboration will benefit all the parties involved. De Rycke verhuur is organising daily demonstrations free of charge. The initial feedback from plant hire clients is extremely positive in the meantime: they are pleasantly surprised by the comfort and the lifting capacity.”

Peter De Rycke puts it this way: “It's actually quite simple. Staying competitive is the key to our success - and you can interpret that in a broad sense. We work continuously on renewing our fleet. Our mission at De Rycke verhuur is to provide the best quality and service at the most competitive price. To achieve that we found the perfect match with HMB and HCEE.

Bart Brepoels, Account Manager Construction Equipment at HCEE: “This is encouraging for Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe. We are increasingly becoming a solid partner in the plant hire industry. Our European parts warehouse in Belgium and our close-knit dealer network - where personal contact and good, fast service still count - mean that as a business we are well prepared for expansion in this sector. The strength of HMB as our dealer plays a key role, of course, considering that they are in direct contact with De Rycke verhuur. The high level of confidence in the dealer, combined with HCEE’s know-how and backup, has led to a success story!”
