We are just six months removed from last year’s largest acquisition in the lifting equipment industry, so we wanted to update you on our Demag mobile crane integration efforts.

As announced in August, we have decided to maintain the globally recognized Demag name as a stand-alone brand. Bringing together both the Tadano and Demag brand products immediately fills gaps in the existing Tadano all terrain line and adds lattice boom crawler cranes to our product offering. We now offer you a more extensive range of lifting equipment solutions, opening the door to increased flexibility in offering larger equipment package deals. This allows us to leverage synergies across both companies and create more value for you, our customer.

We have formed Cross Company Teams (CCT) consisting of team members from around the world. They are working to uncover and share best practices and infuse the best designs and technologies from both brands across the entire Tadano product offering, so we can better serve you now and into the future.

We are in the process of forming a joint organizational structure to function as the link between both German manufacturing facilities and foster a deeper level of collaboration between team members. This new organization will drive joint functions among several shared departments like Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Customer Support and Marketing, among others. They will support both facilities, reduce overlap, increase efficiency, harness our vast experience and fully develop synergies, so we are more responsive to your needs.

Our priority is to provide you with a superior customer experience. Therefore, our next steps include…

• Aligning our European parts organizations to benefit from synergies between the two teams and further advance our parts availability globally.

• Blending the European service organizations and cross-training team members on both brands to improve our global service capabilities and deliver faster response time.

• Refining the Tadano and Demag sales and distribution networks to jointly grow existing and develop new markets, while allowing you to package your equipment purchases from one Tadano source, improving our customer service and making Tadano easier to do business with.

• Investing in both German manufacturing facilities to increase machine production, decrease machine throughput times, deliver cranes faster to you and raise our standards.
