Designed for pushing the limits

Fliegl introduces ASW Stone Offroad

The Fliegl push-off technology covers a wide range of applications. For years, the sophisticated system has proved its worth in civil engineering, road and tunnel construction and withstands heavy mechanical stress, e.g. underground. Fliegl Bau- und Kommunaltechnik supplies superstructures for dumpers, articulated trailers, semi-trailers and truck bodies. New is a particularly powerful 29 cubic meter trough for a five-axis truck. "The extractive industry is increasingly using trucks as they reduce the life-cycle costs per ton of material moved and optimize ongoing operations" says Martin Fliegl of Fliegl Baukom. "We have developed the new ASW Stone Offroad for extremely heavy duty applications and tailored it to the requirements of quarries, mines and large construction sites. In the heavy-duty segment, we are well-positioned with this vehicle."

The ASW Stone Offroad has an impressive payload of 50 tons. The push-off construction is made of wear-resistant steel having a hardness of at least 400 HB. The bottom of the trough is 16 mm thick and thus can withstand even the largest chunks. The push-off technology plays all of its trumps even under extreme conditions: it is fully functional in challenging, very steep terrain; the ASW stands firmly where dump trucks have long reached the limits of physics. The unloading – of roughly crushed stone for example – takes place quickly and dosed, so that crushing plants are protected against damage or disturbances. If necessary, the transfer of material into the crusher can be stopped at the push of a button. The ASW Stone Offroad is suitable for round-trip transports which results in an efficiency advantage, for example in tunnel construction.

Martin Fliegl: "Our system was initially built on SISU truck chassis for internal use. However, it is compatible with reinforced off-road chassis of all manufacturers. In addition to the 29-cubic meter trough, other volumes are technically also possible." Fliegl's new ASW Stone Offroad - the push-off solution for coarse material.
