DEUBAUKOM Shows Sustainable Building for All Generations

Walk-Through Show House Makes it Possible to Experience New Solutions

What can a comfortable house which is appropriate for different generations and appeals to both young and elderly residents look like? With what innovations does this living space become energy-efficient and sustainable? Answers to these questions will be given by the "Building plus Comfort" competence centre at DEUBAUKOM. The most important construction trade fair in Western Germany will take place at Messe Essen from January 13 to 16, 2016.

Under the leitmotif of "Demography Goes Green", a show house, which will cover around 100 square metres and will combine age-appropriate building with energy efficient solutions in modern building practice, will be created in Fair Hall 3. It will be possible to walk through the rooms which will be completely equipped with sustainable products appealing to residents in all age groups. With this range on offer, the trade fair will be intended primarily for architects, planners, project developers, experts from the housing industry and operators of retirement and care homes. Thus, they will be able to obtain a realistic picture of modern building practice as well as comfortable building and living appropriate for different generations.

The show house will be designed and organised by the experts from GGT Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gerontotechnik ("German Society for Gerontological Technology") and implemented in cooperation with Messe Essen and exhibitors at DEUBAUKOM 2016. The presentation will be the heart of the "Building plus Comfort" competence centre at DEUBAUKOM. A large number of other companies will be exhibitors in this competence centre and will show their innovative products and solutions which will stand for a high quality of life: The spectrum will extend from flush-to-floor showers via flexible room concepts right up to mobile care. Thus, the competence centre will offer a pan-industry and multi-generation platform for the building, living, health and care segments.
